I didn't say they weren't bigoted.Amorality is the same as bigotry.
And it’ll be a trans Gorn. That’ll be the twist
I just don’t have any desire to see Dax again. The character’s persona was whichever actor’s character had the Trill, thus it had no real definable personality. Now, I would love to see Jadzia or even Ezra again,.I hope Grey isn't the new Dax. It's just too lazy.
Well yeah, because the symbiont had no inherent personality of its own. It just took on the personalities and memories of its hosts. The whole situation with joran showed that the host could influence the symbiont as much as the symbiont influenced the host.I just don’t have any desire to see Dax again. I do wonder if studio economics would make such a project viable?
What point are you trying to make with this post?
Who gives a shit about lizards? The point is the real life trans and non-binary people whose lives will be improved by increased normalization of trans and non-binary people in media.
I've just read everything that Shatner posted in those tweets and found nothing transphobic. He hardly even mentioned "trans". All he did is point out that he didn't like to be labeled and that whenever people call him "cis" it's used as an attack. It's sad that many people are being falsely labeled "transphobic" just because they don't like the use of labels and think everyone should be treated equally. And not everyone who disagrees with what is currently politically correct is a "racist", "misogynist", "homophobe" or "transphobe".

In a 13-page thread that talks about trans representation, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Morgan Kelly, a character first mentioned in the TNG episode Power Play who was revealed to be a transgender woman in the Enterprise novel Live by the Code. As far as I know, she is the first human trans character in Star Trek.
I mean, the article doesn’t say the Character is a trill, just that ‘they lived their life as a trill’Which is similar to how I felt when I read that the trans character was going to be a Trill.
Half slug and half totally okay with gender/orientation as a society, ovcercoming no adversity.
Novels don’t count. They’re not live action or canon. As far as I know, she is the first human trans character in Star Trek.
Novels count because they are officially licensed Star Trek stories. Canon is a dumb concept used by those Star Trek fans who want a small Star Trek universe instead of a big one.Novels don’t count. They’re not live action or canon.

'Canon' doesn't matter, overall franchise visibility does...
