Sisko would totally win. Although it would be a long fight between him and Kirk. Kirk moves around alot, slapping ears and what not.Sisko wouldn't know what to do at first.

Well, Kira nearly always won fights she was in, even if it was against Jem-Hadar or Klingons. In Way of the Warrior, she beat up 3 armed Klingons with a knife in her back.

Klingons are overrated as fighters. I'm sure not all of them are great. Some of them are no doubt good fighters, but I bet some of them suck and most of their experience has been in drunken brawls.
Mirror Spock could take 4 humans at the same time and still be winning until they use underhanded tactics (i.e. a bowl to his head from the back when he didn't see it coming). I don't think we ever saw PU Spock fight 4 people at the same time, but they are physically the same, and PU Spock was a good fighter, too.

Well Klingons calling for a return to the old ways had said that they had let this era of peace make them soft. Perhaps there is more truth to this than mere posturing and rationalisation?

You know, I'm glad to see someone out there agrees with me on this. Klingons seem to be good fighters if they're disciplined enough, but there's a large swath of Klingon culture which encourages being undisciplined. Note that Worf's favorite drink was *not* blood wine, and he was an exceptional fighter.
That being said, in a Kira/Spock standoff --- I'd have to go with Spock. Though I love Kira to pieces and she's one of my favorite characters of all seasons, she's a bit of a loose cannon. I think she'd find Spock's stoicism infuriating, and would likely break a whole china tea set next to his head rather than fight properly.
I'd pay good bucks to see the Kirk/Sisko cage match. My money on Sisko, barely.
Sisko or Picard. I'm not sure I can decide between the two. They're badass for different reasons.
The only time Kirk beat a Spock was when he fought Mirror Spock together with Scotty, Bones and Uhura on his side, and Mirror Spock was beating all of them until Kirk used a moment when MS was not looking at him and smashed a bowl on his head from the back.
I think that Spock out of the first officers is pretty much considered to be the most dangerous in a hand to hand fight, so the Kirk/Spock pairing in a fight is somewhat unfair towards Kirk, especially when we're meant to be just be comparing captains.
Or should we extend the group being studied to include the first officers against captains as well?

I'd call it a semi-draw, based on T'Pol's knowledge of Sous Mahar. Kira might be standing, but barely.

While I'm sure Janeway's no slouch in a fight, I find it difficult to believe that she could beat Sisko, especially if she can only draw with Picard.
