Q: What Star Trek shows/movies would you be willing to sacrifice in exchange for a 4th season of classic Trek? As a part of the deal, the quality of the shows would be at least equal to 3rd season Trek. Consider that the alternate universe gods would only accept the deal if the value of the sacrificed Trek was sufficient. For example, "I'd give up the second season of Enterprise" probably wouldn't cut it. What would?

Hmm. When a nun smiles, does she wimple rather than dimple? (I know, I know--I should be doing penance for that one, right?)
In all seriousness, though, isn't there something rather monastic about Vulcans (except during pon farr, of course)? The comparison does rather suggest itself: asceticism in matters of the body, a simple and restricted diet, an adherence to a strict rule for the greater good of society--even Spock's later death and rebirth might figure in. Thoughts? . . .
DonIago, please forgive my jumping in here, but I wouldn't give up "Duet"--not by any means. I would certainly keep it, not least because it foreshadows the romantic attraction between Odo and Kira. Odo is so brusque with so many, yet he gives Kira a drink without being asked to do so; in my estimation, that kind and intuitive gesture speaks volumes. You'd give up "Duet"? I think it's still generally considered one of the best episodes of the series.

Agreed, and, to put a Nuspin on this notion, witness the way the Elders are ringed around the Katric Arc in NuTrek I. You can almost hear the Gregorian (Sarekian?) Chants.
Indeed. And I'll confess that I find poor enunciation and mispronunciation to most annoying--perhaps one of life's smaller crosses to bear, but I find them irritating nuntheless.Though, it is difficult at times to understand the dialog for reasons of annunciation and mispronunciation.
Oh yes, very much so, especially sins even newsreaders habitually fall into the trap of poor pronunciation owing to sloppy enunciation. If people spoke how they wrote, this wouldn't happen so often, or so I believe. It can be a real conundrum.
Don't be sorry. There is nothing to forgive (or shall I say ask penance for?). Wordplay is my default setting no matter how much or how little caffeine I have consumed in a given day. I know, I know--get me to a punnery. Posthaste . . .<I am so very sorry. Not enough coffee yet. And my usual accompanying coffee rolls? I have nun.>
