But, yeah, I agree, and I'm not sure he needs twelve thrones, either. Are these the common heads for the entire crew, or are they just public rest rooms / showers near the gymnasium or chow hall?? How many people would be using these on a regular basis?

Reminds me of my deployment. It seemed everyone knew how many steps it was from their tent to the Cadillac. Mine was one hundred and seven.

Have fun with the undercut! And routing the turbolifts. Don't be afraid to make people walk a few dozen feet.

This! The building I work in is an old factory converted to office space, so it's big and flat. I compared it to the TMP Enterprise deck plans, and the building is about the same width at the E's saucer. It takes all of one minute to walk across it. So you don't need horizontal turbos to deliver you to every corner.

To be fair, the movies didn't really show a huge amount of turbolift stops - mainly because (unlike TOS) there was only one on the set!
