I just picked this up and now have to get the book it's a sequel to because I love the idea of a follow up of the adventures of the characters in the Roswell episode of DS9. Mind you, I do think this is the most cavalier that Kirk has ever been about time travel but preventing a genocide is a good reason to do so.

I wasn't quite sure about the details regarding:

how the Klingon Augment virus played a role in the suppression of the aliens, though, and what the Klingon High Command was going to do about it, though. Was it so they were modified to have shorter lifespans due to it and the Klingons were going to throw a fit with their "allies" due to the virus having such a dark role in their history?

I also give a huge prop to the idea of Majestic-12=Origins of Section 31. Mostly because I'm a fan of Delta Green and am currently playing a campaign of it.
