Spock: "...so after graduating from the Academy - at the top of my class, of course - I was assigned to the U.S.S. Hermes where I won several commendations for my brilliant enhancements to the vessel's computer systems. Shortly thereafter I was promoted to lieutenant commander and... you know, you might want to write some of this down."
Sulu: "The secret to good marksmanship is to never be too fast on the trigger."
Barrows: "Yes, I've had that problem with a lot of men."
Vanderberg: "Okay, we can use this chart to find our way around the tunnels. Or, conversely, we could call it 'modern art' and sell it to the Paklids for a small fortune!"

Johnny Carson (OS): "Then you come to the fork in the road."
Kirk: How do we get there, Vanderburg?
Vanderburg: Simple. [pulls out map] You take the I-95 to the M-1, then M-7 to the Little Dipper off ramp, then you get off, then you get back on until you come to the Slauson Cutoff, get out of your car, cut off you Slauson, get back in your car, then drive six miles until you see the giant fire-breathing Conway Twitty Statue.
^ ^ I found that exact same joke in the contest where that picture first turned up. Scary place with people dancing and doing the Roxbury headbanging thing to that Haddaway song. *shivers*
Vanderberg: "Starting from where we are, we go 33,600 turbo mile due up. Then west in an astro-arc deviation to here, then following the great circle seven radiolubes south by downeast, by astro-astrolabe to here, here, then here, then to here, and here, by thirteen point strato-cumulus bearing four million light-years, and thus to our destination. Now do you know how to reach Planet X?"

Dr. McCoy: "This is gonna be one fantastic voyage all right."
Spock: "The red light is clearly on Ensign. I expect you to complete your part of the transaction. I suggest you begin by disrobing."
Retina scans were somewhat bulkier in the duotronic era.
