I wish we had a book about Atish Khatami I loved her in the Vanguard saga
They aren't just about her, but Khatami and the Endeavor crew are the focus of the 2nd and 4th Seekers books. The series was split, with the 1st and 3rd featuring the Sagittarius, and the 2nd and 4th featuring the Endeavor.
I have read those but I want more
ive got this one pre-ordered from Amazon. I'm looking forward to this one.
I am irrationally hopeful of seeing Nogura appear in SNW episodes.
That would be cool.
indeed. the naval institute press translation (1993) is quite well-regarded and i highly recommend it. the mercier version is not only riddled with errors, it's also missing nearly a quarter of verne's original text!
Would Nogura just be an Admiral in SNW, and not CiC during TMP?
Reading this one right now, and it's definitely a tense, breathless page-turner so far. Great stuff from Dayton as usual, not that anyone was expecting otherwise.
2257 to 2271...fourteen years? So. maybe just promoted from Captain or Commodore to Rear Admiral at this point?
Yeah, at this point when the novel's set, he's not yet CiC, but more a roving tactical troubleshooter for Starfleet (whose movements are largely kept classified).
I’ve pre ordered mine. I’m a bit behind due to the global situation as I have been furloughed and I usually read during my breaks.
I do love the cover of this one. They’re stepping up their game it seems.
I noticed something odd when I was working on the Agents of Influence article on Memory Beta. The USS Endeavour's Edoan chief of security was named Lerax in Point of Divergence, but his name was changed to Brax in All That's Left and Agents of Influence. Are they supposed to be the same character or is there some reason the Endeavour has two chiefs of security who are both Edoan? Reminds me of the Mot / V'Sal situation from TNG.
Has not arrived yet. Hope to start it on the weekend.
I got an e-mail saying the book will come in a few days.
My local Barnes and Noble reopened the other day so I went ahead and took a chance, just to get out of the apartment.
What a surreal experience.
There was an employee at the door letting us in one at time.
Several shelves had been reorganized or removed in order to create more space and there were arrows on the carpet indicating which way to walk.
The chairs/benches were all taped off, you couldn't sit anywhere and they were asking you to limit your time in the store. No lingering/browsing.
BTW enjoying the book so far.
I'm looking forward to finally reading it.....
Mine arrived, starting it tomorrow.
Are we sure Lt. Brax is Edoan, and not Triexian?
Started this last night. Enjoying it so far and it's nice to see the return of certain characters
