Why does RTD always realise these things after the fact?

Yeah, particularly with totally rubbish developments like the sappy ending of Rose getting to live happily ever after with a clone of the Doctor in "Journey's End." He later admitted that was probably a bad idea. Why does he never realize these things before they finish the episodes?

I find most of the sex scenes in Torchwood pointless to the story, gay or straight. At least Angelo was important to the story, though. He turned out to be a bit of a red herring, though, promptly dying in the next episode.

I did really like the scenes between Jack & Gwen in the car. I wish they had sustained that sort of dark, intense antagonism a bit longer.

Jack can't even evade some 1920s police? How has he lasted so long? Lots of filler so bored of this now I'm glad Dr Who is back.

Thats a spoiler Iamnotspock but I dnt know if I'll watch the rest of the series anyway.

I assume that RTD realizes these things after the fact but he wants us (the audience) to view the show, come up with an opinion about it, then after it has aired he will comment about what he may or may not have done differently, or provide a different perspective on it. It's not like he can change what he wanted to do during the writing process or shooting process.

It's reasonable for people to think that they won't have to worry about spoilers for any episode coming later. Don't forget that the US schedule is ahead of the UK schedule by a week.
