Too much Trek on the brain.

I was sat on the bus coming home today when the bus stopped and someone got on, I looked up from my book and noticed that it was an Andorian, nothing strange about that I thought and looked down, it was about 20 seconds later that i thought WHAT! and looked up, and it was a human after all.

Man that was weird.

Back in the days of my misspent youth, I saw Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans, Jem-Hadar, Shape-Shifters, Cardassians, Vortas and other many Trek species I saw them all at Grateful Dead concerts at Winterland they were something to behold, The Beer was cold, the weed was hot, and the acid was orange...:)

When I first read that I thought you wrote "the BREEN was cold".

Maybe you should have called the Men in Black?

(I also thought I read about those cold Breens, Thor. Not sure what that means exactly...)

So you met an Andorian on the bus? Did he have ice powers?

:lol::guffaw:

That is weird:eek:

But are you sure?

Maybe it was Shras or Shran visiting 21st Century Earth to buy DVD box sets of TOS & ENT?

Obviously Shras or Shran's holo-disguise malfunctioned for a split-second? Thus when you saw this Andorian, no doubt a chrononaut.

Maybe next time you're on a bus or train you'll see :vulcan:s, :borg:, :klingon:s, :cardie:s &/or :rommie:s!

Maybe its high-time you took a much needed vacation from ST:confused:

I've taken several, some lasting years:)

Just returned from my last one during the 2008 Thanksgiving/X-Mas Superseason.

Just advice, if you took a sabattical from Trek, I'd suggest returning from it in May of this year.

Just in time for Trek 11:vulcan:

I remember once seeing a Romulan in full TNG uniform standing on the Muni Metro platform in San Francisco, waiting for an Embarcadero-bound train. Church Street or Castro station, I can't recall which.

Hah, was there a convention nearby?

Ooooooh, I look forward to the reactions I might get when I drive to the con I'm going to, this March. My makeup will be such that I need to put it on before I leave the house--and I can't wait to see if anybody notices the Cardassian sitting at the red light next to them. ;)

At college, Boba Fett used to show up regularly for Star Wars screenings at the campus cinema. He looked great. Would pace the lobby with his blaster. Not sure what bounty he was scoping.

There are days at work, when I walk through the waiting room, and have a Men in Black moment. The collection of characters and misshapen humans just strikes me as so weird that something with three heads, purple skin, or tentacles would not look out of place.

On really bad days, this leads me to start looking at the staff, one by one, and thinking "He's an alien. She's an alien. Probably human. Alien. Alien. . . "
