Is the clip too hot for Sesame Street?

Even money says that some, if not most, of the parents yepping about this grew up watching Madonna on stage and in video and didn't see a problem with that.

There's not a thing wrong with Katy Perry's attire for Sesame Street.
Anyone who saw something sexual did so because they think about sex all the time. The kids who watched it? Didn't even see it. They saw Elmo with a friend. That's all they saw.
 
I'm reading The Good Earth and taking notes on instances of women subjugation as part of my English class, and it seems kind of odd to me that women today are doing pretty much the same thing they DIDN'T want to do 2 or 300 years ago.

While I do think her attire wasn't the best choice for a children's show I do agree with this above statement. Kids don't see sex, boobs, skin, or whatever. They saw Elmo with a "pretty lady."

KIDS DON'T THINK ABOUT BOOBS!
 
We're a nation founded on and mostly ran by Puritans. So, yeah, they'd probably like her in something close to a burqua.

I mean, heaven forbid our kids see a little cleavage!! I mean, they're boobs! Men drool over those things, make chilidogs with them and stuff (look it up... no don't)! They're un-clean!

Oh my god!!! Think of the children!
 
When my daughter was watching Sesame Street, they never had hot chicks jogging around in lingerie.

Since when does the guest on a show pick their wardrobe? Shouldn't someone on the production crew have said something about the dress ahead of time?
This seems like a situation purposely set up for controversy.
 
Another way to look at it: If someone's tuning in to Sesame Street and spanking it...are we sure that Katy Perry's the problem?

I mean...no, that's really not that bad at all. Just another case of Middle America overreacting.
