Tokyo Xanadu (PS Vita)

A new 5-minute trailer has been posted for Nihon Falcom's upcoming PS Vita ARPG, Tokyo Xanadu:

Given that XSEED Games have already localized a number of Falcom's titles, one hopes that this one won't be too far behind in coming to the West.

I'm not a fan of the high school setting, but the gameplay looks incredible. Nihon Falcom is second to none when it comes to action RPGs, so I'm really looking forward to this game.

I could dig this game. Yeah, I like RPG's where your actions are real-time, not turn based. (Hence, I guess, Action RPG).

If I wanna play turn based, I'll play the ol' paper and dice Star Wars.

The usual anime tropes seem to apply here:

Guys look androgynous.
Girls that are supposed to be at least teen aged or slightly older sound like they're eight years old.
MINI SEIFUUKUUUUUUU!!!!!! (yes!)
Verbally announcing your powers before firing them up. (Tactically unsound.)


This is coming out on the PS Vita, but is it strictly a Japanese release? (I didn't hear any English voice acting, or see any English text, so I'm guessing just Japanese release.)

The Persona vibes are strong with this one.

Yeah, it pretty much looks like the high school simulation elements of Persona crossed with the combat of Ys. Works for me.
