Toilet paper roll over or under?

How do you prefer to mount your toilet paper roll?

Under for me, over for my wife. Fortunately for me she somehow never manages to put a new roll on, so I get my way.

It depends on how I'm sitting. If I'm facing away from the tank, I like it overhand. If I'm facing the tank, then definitely underhand.

"Over". I never realized some people hang it "under" until this thread!

It's supposed to be over

Honestly, who the hell folds the end of the toilet paper roll like that?
Hotels. The nice ones, at least.

Yup! I just stayed at the Fairmont and this is how they did the T.P.!

Although I prefer over, whenever my girlfriend replaces the roll it is under. Just like others have mentioned above. Huh!

It is interesting how several comments have been made that unruly children and pets can unroll the toilet paper more easily if the roll is over. So I guess it might all go back to the household we grew up in and if the kids and pets were out of control with regards to the T.P.? :)

Maybe in general Moms are being vigilant and proactive and guys have the little boy inside them that still wants badly to spin that roll fast, even if they don't do it!

There should be an option for "don't care". It makes no difference to me which way it is so I don't have a preference. It's straight out of the packet onto the hanger without a second look.

I should have done that, but forgot until this morning when I was on the crapper.

Wait. "Facing the tank"? Who does that?

You Euro types are always the last ones to catch onto the latest trends.

The whole point is to face the tank so you can use your laptop or steady your arms to use your smartphone while you get the job done.

It's been catching on Stateside for a few years now. Give it a whirl, it'll do wonders for your productivity, especially at the office.

I prefer over, my sister prefers under. So, whoever replaces the roll wins. I don't care about it enough to make a big deal about it.

I have a cat, but she doesn't play with the TP roll, regardless of which direction it goes. She spends her energy on other things.
