Why does everyone (OK not everyone, but some) focus on the word galore. The word changes nothing. It's a simple yes or no question. Time travel or no time travel. The point is should it be given a rest in Star Trek.
They focus on it because it completely changes that response from "Yes, I like time travel in Trek" to "I want time travel in Trek ALL THE TIME"
Personally, I didn't vote because my response would be that I don't care as long as the stories are good.
No it doesn't! It's a two question poll. Either there is time travel in Star Trek or there is not.
While I am glad ST changed the poll option, I don't think you worded it nearly as simply as you think you did.
"Galore" implies 'alot'. In fact, more that simply 'alot'. It implies that there would be a predominance of time travel....bordering on 'all time travel - all the time' levels.
That is what 'galore' means. It means a TON of these sorts of stories. More than you can possibly imagine or hope for, even if you LOVE time travel.
And even those of us who quite like time travel episodes don't want to see them all the time.
You were in effect giving us two choices - you don't want to see them at all, or you want to see them all the time - as much as possible.
And what we were saying is that we didn't want either of those two options. We wanted a third: 'Yeah...we are down with time travel, but in reasonable doses. Not time travel galore'.
If you can't see the distinction between what you meant and what you actually wrote, that's cool. But don't get annoyed with US. You were the one who wrote it that way, ya know.

We're just minding our own business, reading English exactly as you wrote it. *shrug*
