I will go and see it no matter what, but I do feel that is going to be made in the vein of x-men, transformers e.t.c which to me is not what Star Trek is about. Oh well at least we still have the books and if the film is succesful we might get another series which will be great.

I always thought the self-identified "Trekkers" sounded a bit militant, even haughty, in distancing themselves from the "Trekkies", personally. But that could just be me.Has a slightly militant ring to it...
