Yes, and BTW, the actual quote is: "I have been a fool."
Doug
Nope. "I am a fool!" is the quote from COTEOF.
A long-gone audio play a friend wrote in the 70s parodied several TOS episodes. He had the line read as [Spock voice]"I am an asshole."

William Blackburn had a record number of 64 episode appearances, usually serving as either a navigator or helmsman often opposite Chekov or Sulu. On 7 episodes, he portrayed multiple roles. He appeared in more episodes than any other non-primary actor on the original Star Trek series. He also never had a spoken line.
Thanks, Gary7. That's a cool site.

Shatner and Nimoy were also both in a Man From UNCLE episode, "The Project Strigas Affair," though they share only one scene in it (a great scene, by the way, in which a villainous Nimoy helps a drunken Shatner across a crowded room).
Am I the only person who never realized that Dr. Simon Van Gelder from Dagger of the Mind and Captain Ronald Tracey from The Omega Glory are the same person?

Wow, I never noticed that one! Admittedly, I'm not as familiar with "The Mark of Gideon" as I am with other episodes....time to go watch that one again!Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I didn't want to start an entirely new one either.
After countless viewings, tonight I just now noticed that Ben Childress went from a planet with no one on it in Mudd's Women to a planet with EVERYBODY on it in The Mark of Gideon.
He also brought Ensign Mallory along for the ride

Great site! Been rewatching season 1 on Blu-ray this month and been keeping an eye peeled for this kind of thing. Noticed it's missing Sean Kenney though, who played the crippled Captain Pike in "The Menagerie" and DePaul in "Arena" and "A Taste of Armageddon." Always never really saw his resemblance to the "real" Pike in the "The Menagerie", but I guess it was due to the disfiguring makeup and the hair color because when I saw him in "Arena" without realizing who the actor was, I thought DANG that guy looks a lot like Jeffrey Hunter. Then when the credits rolled and I made the connection I realized why they had cast him in "The Menagerie."For more information, see: Recurring Star Trek TOS Guests & Extras
I didn't know either - probably because I've avoided watching The Omega Glory for many years. Maybe I should get around to it.
I only realized last year or so that Koloth was Trelane.
Cool site...but it's got some terminology wrong, like the statement "foreground extra, usually having some speaking lines". Extras, by definition, don't speak. The moment you have a line, you're an actor, not an extra. For more information, see: Recurring Star Trek TOS Guests & Extras

The Billy Blackburn bonus material from the new blu-ray sets is my favorite of all the new extras. I knew Blackburn was Lt. Hadley, but never knew how many other characters he played. Once you watch this, you realize Star Trek is actually a live action Where's Waldo? and you'll be looking for Billy in every scene. Thanks, Gary7. That's a cool site.
