^I'd like to know, too. Normally I can totally understand the top two or three...and I have tended to think that AGT is a tad overrated, though I haven't revisited it in many years...but "The Pegasus" was not that good an episode, AFAICR.

I don't know, this game has mostly so far been very predictable for me. (Except for 4th season.) And the winners usually weren't my favorites.
This time, I thought that AGT is going to win easily, but I was wrong, obviously. (AGT did win in a poll few months ago, but this game has different rules. ) I like it very much, because I think it's a great sci fi episode and a perfect finale.

As much as I like Parallels and Lower Decks they're just not greater episodes than AGT which is a wodnerful and great swan-song to TNG. Parallels is a pretty good above-average technobabble plot-driven movie and Lower Decks is only "good" for the fact it gives one a "little people" look at the ship and for the reuse of Cadet/Ensign Sito(?).

The Pegasus though? Don't see it. It's a good episode, certainly one of Season 7's better ones but I don't see why it'd be so high rated. Is it because of dealing with Riker's past? Riker's career turmoil? Seeing the Enterprise cloaked?

What is it?

^ The Pegasus is like a DS9 episode - it is one of the few times characters on the show had to deal with the consequences of a bad decision, at least why it stands out to me, others may have different reasons to like or dislike it.

^But that similarity ends in that it's a completely self-contained episode that doesn't have any consequences after the credits roll. I'd say the matter was never brought up again, but there is the infamous TATV....

AGT had lots of nice touches in it, but I thought the core story was a bit weak as a series finale, compared to something like "What You Leave Behind", which actually provided substantial closure for the DS9 crew. They should have destroyed the "D" in the finale and started with a new ship in Generations.
