tng crushes

i would date the hell out of data. when the show first aired (when i was 6-13) data was my first memorable tv crush. all my friends were about michael j. fox and i was into an android. im sure this says something about me psychologically, but anyone else have non contact crushes on tng characters?

I wasn't too much older than you when TNG came out. And as a young man back then I was quite girl-crazy to say the least.

But I could never get into Deanna. Something about her just wasn't right. She wasn't ugly, but she never really did it for me....until I saw an episode late in the series run. Maybe during the 6th or final season. In this episode (who's name I cannot remember) she had her hair teased a different way, a way that was never seen before. A way that really accentuated her looks. After I saw that episode I was like Wow is Troi hot or what! And ever since that one change in her appearance made me a fan of her looks for awhile.

I like the way to termed it above, that you would date the hell out of Data....It makes me wonder if anyone ever wanted to date the hell of out me...

ha! first season deanna hair was a big old 80's perm mess, then it went to less frizzy curls which were great, but she had so much freaking hair that she looked more vegas showgirl than bridge crew. plus it looked like she had a permabump-it in since it was all giant poofed on top. then, somewhere in the later seasons, it went softer and more playboy curls than over the top showgirl. apparently we're not the only ones who have deanna hair notes - http://www.beertripper.com/startrek_chart/ot_Deanna_Troi_Hair.html

I know it sounds odd, I can't really explain it myself, but I always found B'Etor, shall we say - fascinating.

Then again, I've noticed recently that I seem to find a lot of Klingon women attractive. B'Elanna Torres, at least when she's half-Klingon - not fullly Klingon - is simply stunning. Grilka, from The House of Quark and Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places, isn't all that bad either.

while i agree that b'elana was lovely, i can't get past the klingon teeth when looking a full klingons. plus the whole chick attacking the dude while he reads love poetry doesn't appeal to me, more the poetry than the attacking part

Hell yeah. And i'm not a kid, nor was i during TNG run. But I had a big one on Capt Picard/Patrick Stewart. Not in the first three seasons mind you. He was scrawny, cranky and blech....

.....but then came the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th season. He improved as he aged. Gained some weight. Cut off that stupid-ass hair and went bald. OMG! And by the time First Contact came out (really by the episode "Starship Mine") he had a chest and a pair of arms that could make a girl swoon! That man was HOT!

So yeah, i had an old lady crush on him....big time! I'd date the hell out of him in a heartbeat back then.

Of the main characters, I was definately most attracted to Troi. I especially liked in the later seasons where she did soften up her look, and got into the proper uniform. Although I did like that blue, low-cut dress she sometimes wore.

There were a few one shot characters who made an impression on me, like the ensign who sat on the bridge/battle bridge in the episode where Geordi is left in charge and Picard and Crusher are trapped in that cave.

I also thought Sonya Gomez was hot. And I would have loved playing with Sito Jaxa's little nose crinkle.

Totally. Her hair and make-up in that ep is especially rockin'. Okay, the pining-for-Ronin scenes are on the excruciating side, but in her defense, she's possessed by the Green Mist Stalker and not in control of her own faculties.

I was in my early 20s when TNG came out. I definitely had a big crush on Troi. Love that woman! If only they figured out how to use the character better. Toward the end of the show they had a better handle on the character. I also have a thing for the villainess Ardra in Devil's Due.
