TNG Crew - Where are they now?

Terok Nor

Commodore
Commodore
We've had DS9 and Voyager threads so let's make it a trilogy with The Next Generation:rommie: What are the crew doing 13 years later?

Picard - Still commanding the Enterprise-E. He took Kirk's advice on board and didn't let Starfleet take him away from his ship.

Riker - Still commanding the Titan. He waited a long time to accept a promotion so I don't see him vacating the captain's chair soon. If Picard retires or dies he would snap the Enterprise up in a New York minute.

Troi - Still married to Riker but I doubt she'd still be travelling the galaxy as ship's counselor. I see her settling on Betazed at some point. Betazoid women are known to be capable of becoming pregnant later in life so perhaps she and Riker became parents. If the Titan carries families maybe she's still there.

Worf - Still on the Enterprise and likely Picard's first officer.

Geordi - The future timeline in Voyager showed Geordi as the captain of his own ship 15 years into the future. No reason to suspect that didn't come to pass.

Beverly - In the deleted scenes from Nemesis she mentioned returning to Starfleet Medical. She's probably still there. I don't think she and Picard would have gotten together after what Picard saw in All Good Things.

Data - Although he died in Nemesis I think eventually a way would be found to extract his memories from B-4 and put them into a new body. Data would not have taken over his brother's body in my opinion. Failing that, he's still dead.

Wesley - As we saw in Nemesis he'd rejoined Starfleet. I see him serving as chief engineer on either Riker or Geordi's ships.

Pulaski - Still alive well into the future according to Voyager's finale. Maybe she went back to the Enterprise after Crusher left.

Guinan - Still listening. Still wearing exotic oversized hats.

Sela - Tasha's daughter. Seemed to reside on Romulus so she's probably dead.

Picard: Eventually retired from Starfleet to become an ambassador-at-large, with many trying to convince him to stand for election as President of the Federation.

Riker: Captain of the Nebula-Class Titan. Happily married and father of Kyle and Majel. Out exploring the darkest depths of the Alpha Quadrant.

Troi: Counsellor/Diplomatic Officer of the Titan. Happily married and mother of Kyle and Majel. Out exploring the darkest depths of the Alpha Quadrant.

Crusher: After a stint heading up Starfleet Medical on Earth, she took a promotion to Captain and is now commanding the medical ship Pasteur, which is leading efforts to help the Romulan refugees resettle.

Data: "Dead". [B-4 was taken to the Daystrom Institute where it was discovered his positronic brain was overloaded by the memory transfer and was wiped clean]

La Forge: After a time serving as Picard's First Officer, he was then promoted to Captain of the Galaxy-Class U.S.S. Challenger, which was assigned to deep space operations in the Gamma Quadrant. His first Officer is Commander Harry Kim.

Worf: Returned to his post as Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire (his time in uniform on the E-E was for old time sake during his extended leave for the wedding). He is instrumental in keeping the Klingons from taking advantage of the loss of Romulus, instead he convinces them to extend the offer of aid and support.

Yar: After the E-E becomes trapped inside a subspace fissure where they find a shuttle from an E-E of a different reality, which has Commander Natasha Yar onboard. She is rescued and returns to our universe. After debriefing she takes up a position onboard the Enterprise as First Officer after La Forge is promoted.

Wesley: He resumes his exploration of the galaxy with the Traveller (being in uniform at the wedding was due to his emerging, naked, from a different plane of existence and needed something formal to wear).

Guinan: Sets up a new bar on Deep Space 9.

Barclay: Retired from Starfleet and became the most prolific holo-novelist in the Quadrant.

Ro: Barely survived the Jem'Hadar eradication of the Maquis. On the run for years, she found herself in Romulans space, where she helped with the aftermath of Romulus' destruction. She would go on to meet a nice Romulan man, settle on a small moon with him and start to raise a family of her own.

Ogawa: Took up a teaching job at Starfleet Medical Academy's School of Nursing, where she also raised her two children. She would then take up a position working with the Romulan refugees on their new homeworld, where she became belovedly known as 'Matron' and would be honoured by both Starfleet and the Romulans for her work.

Data - Although he died in Nemesis I think eventually a way would be found to extract his memories from B-4 and put them into a new body. Data would not have taken over his brother's body in my opinion. Failing that, he's still dead.

Yeah, this is my favourite post-NEM theory too. I like the idea of Data ''jump starting'' B4 with his memory engrams transfer, so B4 can now grow and develop into his own life-form, but the way the post-NEM media have basically said that Data just ''body snatches'' B4 doesn't ring true to Data as a character. It's like something Lore would do, but not Data.

Definitely agree with you. I think Geordi probably worked around the clock to replicate Dr. Soong's work so he could build a new body for Data. I hate to think of Data being dead:(

Picard- doing Dinner-Theater with Admiral Nechayev (ret.) at the Star Fleet Home for the Aged

Riker- running a fly fishing outdoor trekking business called "The Big 'Bone", in Alaska. Named his Bush Plane, "Titan". Installed a Personal Holodeck in his doublewide, and spends his off-time with Minuet.

Data 2.0- after being rebooted and reborn from the positronic matrix of B-4, runs a dancing and escort service called, "Fully Functional". Also spends time with Holo-Samual Clemens. They speak of things social, and tend mulberry bushes. Data sometimes affects the demeanor of Sherlock Holmes, especially the pipe.

Dr. Crusher- believes she is still Chief Medical Officer at Star Fleet. She spends her time walking the halls at SF Medical in full uniform, carrying a clipboard. No one has the heart to tell her. She calls everyone "Jean-Luc".

Troi- now with twins from the Offspring Tinkerbell, she lives with her mother and Mr. Hom on Betazed. She does not fly fish. She named the twins "Will" and "Thomas" Sometimes pranks Riker by booking fictitious inter-planetary reservations for Fly-Fishing Excursions.

Tasha- still dead from the Oil Slick Creature

Worf- runs a Klingon Battle School with son Alexander. After hours, they troll the underbelly of Qo'noS, looking for Hot Klingon Babes. Worf looks a lot like Kempec these days. No Babes. Still Discommodated.

Geordi- went back to wearing the VISOR, as he thought it looked cooler than his Tlaxieu eyes (Whoops, wrong Universe!). Started his own business, teaching confidence and skills to individuals seeking companionship. Named it " The Brahms Institute". Curiously, he was asked not to visit Data's School. Sometimes found asleep laying on top of Warp Core specs. No Babes.

Wesley- no information. No Babes, for sure.

Barclay- after an encounter with the Crystalline Entity, where it refused to kill him, he was sent back in time to the mid-late 20th century, where he became a soldier of fortune with a group of former Rangers, consisting of a cigar-smoking Colonel, an inexplicable Gold-Adorned hard guy, and a former surfer and understudy for someone named "Zoolander". No Babes.

Q- lost interest in Omniscience and Omnipresence, and can be found, every night, in the VIP box at Picard's Theatre, clapping and saying, "Bravo, Jean-Luc...Braaaavo..."

I'd like to imagine Q continued to pester Jean-Luc for the rest of his days. They were an incredible double act and Q did promise to drop by from time to time.

^ Besides, where's the work out for your imagination (rather than just accepting one person's idea for where they're at now) :)

I was conditioned not to believe novels as being a viable option after the cock-up that was the Doctor Who New Adventures and their BBC brethren. I know there are some who like to see these thing as being the heir apparent to the televised adventures/movies, but to me they're still spin-off fiction with no more validity than they ever had, and subject to reinterpretation by screen evidence should any of the main-line series come back and contradict them anyway. I'm not inclined to invest emotionally into them.

Which isn't to say people aren't free to enjoy them. But I just don't see them as a ''natural'' progression into canon. They're more like ''What If...?'' adventures to me.

The Enterprise E is still (after all these years) stuck in spacedock awaiting parts. Supposedly they're scheduled to arrive tuesday.

Picard: "Unacceptable !!!"

So even though I have very much enjoyed the post-Nemesis novels and have come to think of them as 24th Century Canon, I'm going to play this game as though the events of the novels do not exist and the destruction of Romulus, which in my opinion is also not canon (again, my opinion), has just happened.

Picard - Commanded the Enterprise-E for ten more years following the events of Nemesis. Eventually retired from Starfleet and became the Federation ambassador to the Dominion. He currently lives on a neutral Class-M planet in the Gamma Quadrant with several aides. He remains unmarried, despite never falling in love with Beverly, whom he sees from time to time. He has developed a working relationship with the Founders.

Riker - Still in command of Titan, still married to Deanna. Unlike in the novel series he has not been promoted to rear admiral. Will is committed to exploration; he was offered to assist in the relocation of Romulan survivors but decided exploration was more important. Will spent several years without his wife and children, as they returned to Betazed following Lwaxana's death. During this time Will's own father, Kyle Riker, was killed in action along with his longtime paramour, Dr. Kate Pulaski, during a border skirmish along the Romulan border before the destruction of Romulus.

Beverly Crusher - briefly departed Enterprise-E to run Starfleet Medical again. Returned to Enterprise E when she and Picard finally gave in. Although they never married they remain together. Currently Beverly is assigned in Romulan space following the destruction of Romulus; she is CMO and Rear Admiral of the entire sector and has a fleet of medical and warships at her disposal, and she's currently stationed on the new Romulan home world in charge of the Federation aide effort.

Troi - Still married to Riker, Deanna is the mother to three children, all of whom live aboard the Titan. She's the Counselor/Diplomatic Officer. Following the death of her mother, Troi spent a few years on Betazed with the children while Riker took the Titan into unknown parts of the galaxy. They eventually rejoined the Titan.

Data - dead; B-4 not in the picture

La Forge - Geordi remained Chief Engineer of the Enterprise-E for eight years following Data's death. After finally accepting B-4 could not replace him, Geordi left the E-E to command Starfleet Academy's engineering department, where he would once again become colleagues with O'Brien. After the destruction of Romulus, the Engineering Corps decided to launch a ship deep into the Beta Quadrant to investigate a possible new energy source for the Romulans; Commander Nog commanded the mission on a new Titan class vessel that was declared lost. Nog, O'Brien, and La Forge remain lost in deep space.

Cmdr. Worf - Like in the novels, Picard's first officer. Alexander is the ops officer. Worf had readjusted to life on a starship. He remained first officer of the E-E until Picard resigned his commission to become ambassador to the Dominion. Worf resigned his Starfleet commission and took up a position as a private security officer for Ambassador Picard. At Ezri's request, for a brief period of time, Worf also elected to stand in for the Federation ambassador to Trill for a brief period to honor Jadzia's much brother getting a symbiont.

I agree with this. The novels are great for people who want to read them and take them as canon but unless it's captured on film it's not the "truth" to me:rommie:

Thanks.

You just have to look at the fanfic section. I'm one of two (or is it three?) people putting forward their version of what happened after DS9 ended.

Trek is here to be enjoyed and explored by fans in whatever way they want, for me, it's making my own :bolian:

Well said, Bry_...well said...!!!

In one web site it was stated that Star Fleet had lost many experienced officers by the end of the Dominion War. I think that Star Fleet would try to persuade many of the surviving officers to accept a late retirement. Some might be persuaded to remain on board as commanding officers/senior officers. Some might be persuaded to do a stint teaching/training.

...oddly accurate IMHO.

I think I can fill in the Wesely one for you:

Quit starfleet to become D-list celebrity on Tau Alpha C:"The Mozart of Warp". After 2 years he fell into a lifestyle of drugs and doing 'favors' for travellers. Eventually travelled to 21st century Canada and tried to start up a singing career under the name 'Justin Bieber'.

Worf also elected to stand in for the Federation ambassador to Trill for a brief period to honor Jadzia's much brother getting a symbiont.
I'm not getting on you about a possible spelling error (because God know I can't), but is this what you meant to say?

"Much brother?"
