The enlisted uniforms in TWOK were redyed, redetailed versions of much of the TMP wardrobe.
The producers asked Fletcher to see what colors the steel-grey and tan outfits would take. He came up with a blue, a gold, and a rust-red. They went with the red.
The implication there, BTW, is that the color of the whole wardrobe - the officers uniforms included - was based on the economies to be derived from the extras' outfits.![]()
