Title of "The Picard Show"

Very likely going to be PCD going by the other official short names that are used.Unless there is some issue with it that I'm not picking up on.

They lied then. They said it wouldn't be called Star Trek: Picard, but I'm glad they went with it.

They might have just changed their minds. Wouldn't be the first time a working title ended up being the final title even if that wasn't the plan in the beginning.

"You know, everybody is calling it PICARD anyway, maybe we should just go with that?"

Years ago, a friend of mine edited a book that was originally labeled "Untitled Alien Sex Anthology," with the idea being that they'd come up with a better title eventually. But then people got into the habit of calling it "the Alien Sex book" so, in the end, it was published as . . . ALIEN SEX.

Could be similar story here.

Also, it might have occurred to them that no other title had as much shelf appeal in the store.

If I recall correctly, "Deep Space Nine" was originally intended as a placeholder title as well.
