Titanic haters around here! I actually liked Titanic more than Dark Knight. Dark Knight is a good movie but it is so overrated. I wish people would just shut up about it, it's getting annoying with all the praise. And honestly, Dark Knight doesn't deserve to be in the imdb top ten.

Titanic was immensely overrated in its time. Gone With The Wind is more than a bit racist. And The Dark Knight doesn't really belong in either's company. But I went with The Dark Knight in the end.

^Yeah, but Gone With The Wind was made in 1939 when attitudes were different.

I think I'm going to vote for Gone With The Wind because I feel it was a greater cinematic achievement given the technology available at the time.

By today's movie making standards, there was NO technology available at the time.

Well, you're not exactly going to get an balance of opinions around here. It's a scifi board, obviously Dark Knight is going to win. And this board in particular seems to really despise Titanic.

I voted for Titanic, because, simply, I found it more entertaining.

Gone with the Wind by far, a drawn-out story but very interesting characters and impressive production. Titanic was OK, while I think The Dark Knight is very overrated.

Out of the three, Gone With The Wind is the best film. TDK beats out Titanic by a nautical mile though. ;)

I loathe Gone With the Wind, spoiled princess whines for 3 hours.

I really don't get its classic status at all.

All three of them are grossly overrated. TDK had a lot of pacing problems and general problems. It didn't even feel like a comic book movie, which is bad. I don't get why people want to separate the fantasy from the movie in comic books.

Making it an even better film. :D Weren't there something like only 7 technicolour cameras in existence at the time? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Not a fan of the CGI that give Lucas orgasims, I take it?

True. Which explains why the movie gets away with racist sentiments. But it doesn't excuse the sentiment or make it go away. But I'm not a historicist in my criticism, if that's even the right word. Others will vehemently disagree with me.
