Tin Man episode question

I'm thinking that the Enterprise did not have wifi because of security.

Limiting the connections to the outside trying to crack their prefix codes.

Think of how the kids would complain.

24th century kids living like its 1599 hanging out for live theatre.

That says to me, the entire crew was merged with Tin Man in at least a similar way as Tam
We see Gomtuu fashion a rather simplistic command chair, which implies it can provide some things. We also see it transport Data back to the Enterprise over a great distance, which means it has at least a comparable capacity for matter/energy manipulation as the Enterprise & their crew. So, it could probably just as easily provide or replicate whatever Tam needed.

Gomtuu must have been able to provide for the needs of an entire crew (before they died) so it stands to reason that it'd be easy for it to do so for Tam alone.

And as Gomtuu clearly has an inbuilt transporter and replicator, and also plenty of interior space, Tam would not want for anything. He'd have plenty of space to live and work.

But what about Tam's sexual needs. I mean with no men or women around it's likely Tam is going to start feeling urges that I guess a living ship can't handle. Or can it?

I'm sure Tam's mental connection with Gomtuu would take care of everything.

Assuming that full Betazoids would have the same "sexual needs" as humans do (which is not really a given).

Well we know Betazoids get extra horny as they get older because it's part of their nature from that time .Lwaxana Troi came aboard looking for a husband. I guess it doesn't always show though because she didn't seem like that in future episodes though she did have that romance with the guy who had to die because he was turning 60 and also a marriage that got called off and another on DS9 that ended in divorce.

Tin Man, as I have mentioned before, is a version of the STTMP plot. What happened at the end of TMP is basically what happened at the end of Tin Man...same VFX too.

RAMA

in the Tin Man episode, after Tam ( the red haired Betazoid guy) goes inside the Tin Man ship/alien, are we supposed to think that Tin Man and Tam were destroyed by the
Star that exploded?
I have seen the episode numerous times and always just assumed that Tam and Tin Man left together to explore the universe.
But I actually listed to Data and Troi :ack:at the end of the episode talking to one another.
And suddenly I felt like Tin Man stayed at the exploding star rather than, I always thought before Warping the hell out if that area.
So which is it?
Death for Tin man and Tam?
Or explorers of the Galaxy?
