Time Tunnel

They've tried to reboot "Time Tunnel" at least once, maybe twice.

I'm looking at the 2006 movie on IMDB... It's got the same cast as the 2002 pilot.

I think the movie is the pilot.

Or the scrumptious Andrea Roth was in Both?

I have the DVD collection of Time Tunnel, and it includes the 2006 movie, which was indeed the pilot (made as a two part broadcast) reworked to movie length. It was very different than the original Time Tunnel. But not bad.

Youtube is my friend in regards to the reboot.

I look to check it out during my spring break.

The 2006 pilot is actually pretty watchable, IMO. Could've made a good series if they'd gone ahead with it.

The 2006 movie was OK, but a proper reboot could be so much better. Plus they'd have to overcome perceptions left by 'Quantum Leap' and 'Seven Days'. I think too, just IMO, they should go back to the more "observing history" theme of the original rather than "patching timeholes" of the movie. But there's definite possibilities.

Idea: not a reboot, but a new team revving the abandoned Time Tunnel Project, building on what has gone before.

A proper reboot would have to differentiate itself from the 'sliding' concept - from 'Sliders' - which possibly was inspired by the original Time Tunnel. Of course, there is also the similar Quantum Leap and other shows with - for lack of a better term - 'similar' concepts.
