Superman: The Movie time travel

Captrek

Vice Admiral

While Superman is busy saving thousands of other lives, Lois is in mortal danger. Superman gets to her too late and she dies. Superman rewinds time, and we see all his other heroics undone as time goes backward. This time he saves Lois. Does he do that instead of all his other heroics? Or are there now two of him so he can do both?

However he manages it, he doesn't neglect the other problems...as evidenced by Jimmy Olsen being alive at the end.

Can't be two of him otherwise he would run into himself when he saves Lois. My pet theory has always been that the second time he knows exactly what he has to do so he does it faster and more efficiently and saves Lois too.

Watching those movies as a kid there was a lot of connecting the dots. It wasn't the kiss itself that hypnotized Lois but his super-hypnotism from the Silver Age. When he changed outfits, he was changing at super speed so it just looked like a blur. That kind of thing.
