The TV version of 12 Monkeys was also pretty consistent, in regards to the time-travel involved (and the amount of it that was being done). The only part that I really disagreed with was when Jennifer travelled forward and met her old self. My feeling is if she left the timeline in 2016 and travelled forward to 2044, then she LEFT the present; there was no longer a Jennifer who would age and become 'Old Jennifer' (I had a problem with that same concept in BTTF). But all in all, I felt the TV show handled it's temporal journeys in a manner that did not create too many loose ends.
