Time Travel and its consequences

Shizz, I would have showed up just so I could get some insider tips from some futurians about the next 50 Super Bowl winners.

You can try to catch a sports alamanac in the future, trying to get rich in the present. But Lucsly and Dulmur will prevent it :D.

I guess you could say there were negative consequences in Enterprise.

But then those events should have changed the timeline, as humanity should have been fully prepared for the Borg when they came many years later.

My take on it: time travel to the past is impossible, so any story written about it is going to have a fatal flaw somewhere. It's best to go the Austin Powers route: Don't think about it too much, and just enjoy yourself.

:techman:
I have a better idea, how about tell a simple story, character based where it happens to be time travel instead of making them into a galactic event. You know, how TOS handled them?

the perfect government job. you are essentual, because you keep telling the funding sub-commttee that you are.

"we saved the entire federation just last week."

"i don't remember that."

"exactly senator."i believe (head canon).
originally (prime universe) no one of cochrane's launch crew were killed by the borg.

the first warp flight consisted of cochrane, lily, and another person from the mid-21st century.

no one originally from the enterprise d flew on cochrane's first warp flight.

the nx-01 wasn't original named enterprise

the ENT episode with the borg originally didn't happen.

Don't be confused, Sweety, the "Prime Universe" is a project to rewrite TOS out of extinction in order to make Star Trek their own image. All you have to do is take a look at the new Star Trek books coming out; there CBS has already implanted the Prime Enterprise from Disco into their bullsh*t timeline. TOS is not and will never be prime.

I can haz time masheen?

Nobody is "rewriting TOS out of extinction," whatever that means. As long as people are buying TOS merchandise, it will continue to sell. It's part of the pop culture landscape. The last time I checked, it's still available on DVD and blu-ray. And they are even releasing more TOS toys and comics.

I wrote a comedy sketch once where a time traveler goes to talk to Abraham Lincoln, and Lincoln is just SO SICK of time travelers.
“Mary dear- get the big broom quickly- more of those cursed time travelers got into the veranda!”

Q enjoys time travelling and posing as historical figures. He might have been Lincoln, Trump or Che Guevara.

Are you suggesting Q a la tRump and SPAAACE FORCE will ultimately prove to be our wagon train to the stars?

Honestly I don't want fancy Trump with any Q-powers. Hopefully the Continuum interferes in time before Qump () does anything that proves the ultimative doom for Earth. Qump could be a second Henry Starling, though....

Qump!:guffaw:

Yeah. It’d be the worst universe in which trump is a Q or has access to time travel.

Meanwhile back on topic.... with the after effects of Yesterday's Enterprise the Romulans should know, or at least strongly suspect, that time travel is possible. Why haven't they gone back and owned the Federation and the Klingons? Do the Klingons know?
