Thunderbirds Are Go - 2015 Series

TB2's cables may have been able to lock onto the wreck of TB4.

And thinking about the nanoconstructor stuff, the Hood did figure out how to molecularly destabilise it (likely with the Mechanic's help) so maybe NOT a good idea to build the Thunderbirds out of it...

Reboot Grandma has been a bit of a power behind it all right the way through: knowing Kayo's secret, taking over from TB5 on monitor duty... Wouldn't be surprising if she taught Jeff to fly, and recruited the Creighton-Wards (Penny's dad and aunt Sylvia) as spies back in the day
Well she was also married to a time lord, her daughter sort of is one (but conveniently overlooked), and has one as a son-in-law. ;)

I'm impressed Sandra Dickinson can manage such a gravelly voice.

It looks like there's some original Thunderbirds footage in this week's episode.

And clips from Stingray and possibly other shows too.

That teenager is a bit last decade, though, dude.

And seriously, the GDF can't pull a Gitmo on Lamere and Fischler? Or at least lock them in a room together?

And why the hell is Lamere's wife still with him? She was sick of his BS in the first ep he appeared in! Hook one of the Tracys on a rescue, girl!

Granted, Scott obviously wants Kayo (as does Alan, but he's 15 so squick), Gordon is chasing Penelope and John has that GDF space captain girl he plays zero-G squash with (when he's not rescuing her), so there's only Virgil left, but hey - he cuts a nice line in tartan shirts.

Three episodes to go. Finale is called Inescapable, I think [edit: Escapeproof], so we can all guess who's escaping...

Loved Saturday's episode "Fight or Flight", especially some of the shots set around the airship, which is a shame since I've been hearing some weren't impressed by it.

Those miniatures are quite incredible.

Would be interesting to side-by-side them with some of the originals but I believe they were pretty much all destroyed once the series was finished (though I did see the Brains marionette in a display about 20 years ago).

Looks like The Hood might actually escape from prison this week.

It looks like they're skipping an episode. "Inferno" has no UK air date. Episodes about burning buildings seem to be a no-no.

does the original series get any air play in the UK? Just wondering how they would given there are two episodes where building fires are a major part of the story.

Then again, violence, gun fights, terrorists bringing down aircraft, smoking, fires, I'm suprised the original has been outright banished to where ever they sent Enid Blyton books :)
