No need for the mole. Just attach a drill to Thunderbird 4 :)

The Mole is even sadder now that its thunder has been stolen. TB2 is also a bit worried that TB3 has adopted its role of transporting TB4 but it knows that space is out of its reach (let's overlook a 70s comic strip where Brains adapted TB1 and TB2 to travel in space).

Nah the Mole can sleep peacefully - TB4's modification was only suitable for use in an ice environment where you can melt through. When you've gotta get through the tough stuff you still need the big M :)

Ep 4 was good, some nice action for TB4 and FAB1 - the Mechanic not quite as on top of things as he was in the series opener, which is either good or bad depending on how you like your bad guys. Penelope is now referring to Sherbet as Bertie which is OK but a bit inconsistent with previous stressful situations, unless the original dog is gone and this is a new one named as a homage?

Interesting to see if they're going anywhere with the "Gordon Tracy is a slob" angle started in ep3 and continued here, with him leaving snack wrappers all over TB4. Since they seemed to be playing up the idea of UST between him and Penny last series, more "opposites attract" stuff?

Either Rich Hall's character was really popular from series 1 or he has photos of the producers in compromising positions, but either way good to see him back for "Colony".

It looks like they're airing episodes out of sequence. In "City Under the Sea", (two weeks ago) Gordon has a conversation with Kayo, referencing an event that happens in this week's episode.

Yeah and given that Brains developed nano-construction tech last series, you'd think he could whip up a new frame (at least) more easily than trying to salvage the wrecked one.

an un-answered question from the most recent ep.

How does Grandma Tracey know how to pull TB1 of of a flat spin?

Is there more to her than bad cooking and looking after her Grandsons?

Also, how did they salvage the wreck, considering that the two episodes carry on directly... And also that the wreck was on the seabed, with their (only?) submersible... in pieces on the seabed.

Reboot Grandma has been a bit of a power behind it all right the way through: knowing Kayo's secret, taking over from TB5 on monitor duty... Wouldn't be surprising if she taught Jeff to fly, and recruited the Creighton-Wards (Penny's dad and aunt Sylvia) as spies back in the day
