Thor: Ragnarok

I'm still a little PO'ed that the Grandmaster didn't have ANY powers in this, seeing how powerful he was in the comics. Presumably it's because he was put in place of the actual Planet Hulk villain, the Red King, and HE didn't have any powers. Maybe if he shows up again he'll show off.

LOVED IT!!!! Best Thor movie, no doubt. Marvel took some risks here, and they payed off if you ask me. Funny as hell, some pretty big permanent changes for our main lead. Chris nailed it, so did Mark and Tom. Tessa stole the show, and Cate was just having a blast with this! :D

Only thing I felt was out of place was Karl Urban. Not that he didn't do a good job, he totally did. Just that, this movie would have been exactly the same without his character really.

I'm sure the grandmaster will be fine.

How did Des and Troy get on the ship at the end?

Concerning your spoiler tag.... Who??

And, as for ships....

Who's ship was that during the end credit scene? I asume Thanos?

Urban's two guns - Des and Troy. But them together and they Destroy.

Likely that the ship at the end was Thanos, I guess we'll find out next year

I feel so stupid now..... Yeah, it was kinda odd how they got on the ship. :D

Although being in a thread about a movie that has been released is kinda on you if you have not seen it yet.................just sayin. What are the official guidelines? How long do you spoiler stuff?
Yeah, but only in a couple countries, and either way this thread doesn't have a spoiler warning on it, so generally people are going to assume any spoilers people post are coded.

It's not hard to be considerate to others. Especially when the movie isn't even out in the US yet.

I don't generally memorize worldwide release dates..........had no idea it wasn't out there yet.

If you don't know if it's out everywhere then it's probably best to use spoiler code in a non-spoiler thread. Even if a movie is out it's still generally considered polite to use code in non-spoiler threads for a while, since not everyone is going to be able to see it right away. Since I have to rely on my mom to get a ride to the theater it can often take me several weeks to get to a point where our schedules line up right for me/us to get to see a movie.

It's a rather bullshit excuse to excise the scene.

The clear inference is that (a) the audience isn't smart enough to pay attention to multiple pieces of information (one visual, one audio) and (b), more interestingly, that the audience would be so damned distracted by the shot of a woman walking out of a room that they'd lose auditory control and miss the "important words".

Continue to treat us as children Mr Feige, thanks.

Hugo - bullshit detector

I think it must be
during the scene after Valkyrie leads Thor and Hulk out of the open and gives them Loki as a present. It's never explicitly stated what that room was supposed to be, but it would make sense that it would be her apartment, and I can't think of any other candidate location.

I definitely did see the acting during the battle scene mentioned in the article though. Confirmation enough for me (though more is always welcome).

That might have been it, especially if Waititi was worried about the flow of the scene. I was thinking it could've been a scene on it's own but just didn't fit the narratively flow on Sakaar, but that particular scene seems the most likely candidate.
