Yeah, that was the impression I got from the article and its comment section. Pity. I was hoping at least something a little subtle in her interaction with other characters but I trust your judgment on this count.I read that before going in. If that was part of her character design (in the script), a director's notion, or her own addition to the material, it really doesn't show in the slightest.
She's a feisty, fun, engaging (and pretty damned sexy imo) addition to the Thor cast, but if the character is bisexual it has as much resonance and depth on screen as Dumbledore being gay. But then it's a pretty sexless adventure all round really (barring some Thor-skin-time and Thompson/Blanchett's inherent sexiness)
As Thompson says in her tweet, the character's sexuality isn't addressed or even implied, which is not a surprise given Kevin Feige appears to be uninterested in much general diversity of his box-office friendly pantheon.

Still, I'm glad she had her heart in that place while playing the character and maybe she'll be able to expand on it in a future performance.
And curse both of you for being able to see it so soon! I don't want to wait two plus more weeks!
