I think the soundtrack for the first film is still generally my favorite, but I did pick this one up.

The one for "The Dark World" never made enough of an impression on me for me to purchase.

Loved Thor: Ragnarok. It was funny, it had heart, it had a solid thematic core, the characters underwent meaningful change.

And I adored the anti-colonialist subtext to the whole thing.

I loved this film. Having watch Avengers Infinity War however

It felt like the heroic efforts to save Asgard’s people was pointless knowing they pretty much get slaughtered hours later. What happened to Korg and Valkyrie?

They're alive! And Valkyire is now Queen of New Asgard! And apparently the Kingdom of Norway decided to just give away Tønsberg and the surrounding area to the Asgardians! Which makes me wonder, is the Kingdom of New Asgard recognized under international law as a sovereign state? Is it a United Nations Member State? Do all the Asgardians have Thor's and Valkyrie's level of superpoweredness? Will the influx of Asgardians on Earth lead to some major consequence for, like, everyone else? Or will the surviving Asgardians all magically stay in their own territory?

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but here's the original scene of Thor and Loki finding Odin in the streets of New York.

Interesting, but definitely way too rushed. The theatrical version did it much better.

I gave it a low rating just for Thor's appalling haircut.

The ONE Avenger with a decent head of hair, and they have to chop it off.

What I like about this scene is, that Odin lives when Hela arrives. In the movie itself, it's always a little moment, where I sense a little lack in my 'suspension of diesbelief', that Hela just comes up a few seconds after her father is gone - as a coincidence, it's just a (little) bit too unlikely. But then again, Odin's death is too beautiful in the movie to get cut off... (My personal favourite way out of this would have been, that they made clear, that Hela could just break out because of Odin's death.)

It was nice to finally see that version of Odin's death. I watched the scene in the movie, and I did like that one better, but it was still nice this version.

Why? I ask because if Odin's power was what was keeping Hela imprisoned/banished, then her appearing almost immediately after his natural death honestly makes a bit of sense.

Odin's power has dissipated and the spell is broken, and Gela is free to emerge.

I havent seen the movie recently. But Hela appeared were Odin died. Odin knew what would happen, why didn't he fly into the sun or black hole?

Any number of reasons. His power was waning - maybe even before he remembered who he was; we don't know that he was ever capable of just flying through space under his own power (no Sleipnir or rainbow bridge or anything to help him); Hela's power is intrinsically tied to Asgard, so a black hole might be absolutely useless as long as Asgard still exists, etc, etc.

As I wrote: I see the point that it makes sense. But while watching, I'm never sure if this is just my interpretation or if the authors really had this idea in mind, too. I'm really not able to describe why I have the feeling, that we overthought this more than them - but this is always my 'feeling' in this scene: that we see a connection, the filmmakers didn't intend.
