This week's 4 episodes....marvelous TV!

I had recorded them on DVR and watched them later last night. Wow I have always been down on season 2 but these were 4 very good episodes in a row!

Elementary Dear Data- Got a bad rap for being a "Big Goodbye" redux, but its more developed than that and with a higher entertainment factor. It actually turns into a very sensitive episode, with Moriarty becoming quite--and pardon the term--3 dimensional! Awesome acting and production design! RATING: 9 out of 10

Measure of a Man: Never get tired of this episode. Melinda Snodgrass may not have liked it much but its one of the greats. Even with Will Smith's I- Robot its the best positronic movie or TV show ever. Stewart and Spiner deserved Emmy's for this episode. RATING: 10/10

Time Squared: An underrated little gem. Whether you choose to believe that like its original intent, it was Q who was jerking Picard's chain before he made his appearance in "Q Who" or it was something else, this episode is tense from after the teaser onwards. Again, Stewart delivers a sterling performance, as he questions his very developed sense of curiosity and assuredness. The scene where he commits "suicide" is still powerful. RATING: 9/10

Q Who- Rivals BOBW as the best of the Borg with Q thrown in for good measure, once again questioning the very core of humanity's desire for exploration and advancement. The scene where the first, then second Borg invade the ship is one ofthe series' most memorable. Kudos to Rob Bowman, one of Trek's best directors for making this one stand out. 10/10!!

STNG blew away all TV currently on the air this week, sci-fi or otherwise with this little exposition of intellectual and creative muscle.

I think that Q Who does rival BOBW, I think you're right. I think it's a massively underrated episode and is full of danger and genuine meanace. I think it's kick-ass, in fact, and certainly one of my favourites.

Q Who was my fav ep of the week, followed closely by Measure.

Q Who gives us a scary enemy and forces Picard, our hero, to admit that he can not handle it... It's actually very well acted to see how smug Riker is when talking to Q in 10F, and then see Picard beg Q for help.

I like all of those too, but for the love of all that is sensible, why did they wait so long before acting on the Borg's invasion of the ship? They all just stand around for three minutes before trying to intervene, even after they realized there's no reasoning with them :vulcan: Whenever I watch this eps Ialways have to resist the urge to yell at the screen "do something you idiots, don't just stand there!"

Because they are starfleet officers, taught to do everything possible to end the problem with as little blood shed as possible. I am guessing they were hoping to form an alliance with the borg in the future, and killing them would not help accomplish that

I just rewatched "Q Who?". You're right, its a fantastic episode full of genuine danger and intrigue. For whatever reason, I really enjoyed the scene in the conference room, not to mention the suggested connection between Guinan and Q. I wish that they had developed that relationship more as the series progressed.

These are probably the four best episodes out of the entire season. I particularly like Measure of a Man, but the others are really quite good as well.
