This is the most gut-wrencing scene in all of DS9

what about that episode where the crew traveled to a planetiod to rescue a lone survivor. they spent the whole episode talking to her and when they get there, they found out she was dead the whole time.

i think it pulled the heartstrings to build her character up so much through the episode only to find out she was long dead. the funeral party at the end finished the episode off nicely i think.

That was "The Sound of Her Voice" I don't think it was a fan favorite, but I really liked it.

I loved it, except I figured out the "shock" ending too early into the episode, so that ruined it a little bit for me.

That was pretty brutal, especially after already losing his wife and other children after they found out about Ziyal..... add on top that he basically single-handedly gave the station back to Sisko and put the Cardassian/Dominion alliance on its heels..... no wonder he went nuts.

True but he lost his family because he was unfaithful... he never deserved Ziyal's love... l felt bad for her but him... he'd been nuts in other ways for a long time.

LOL NO. I felt very little emotion in that scene. In fact the combination of useless Jake and Kira's awful hair made me cringe a little bit.

What's wrong with her hair. The only bad thing about Kira was they made her wear high heels.

DS9 had great emotional scenes from the beginning. Sisko having to leave his wife at wolf 359 and his return to the moment later on with the prophets.
