Cut out the personal attacks please.^ My "not getting laid" radar is picking up a strong reading
So many angry newbies here today! And citing Midnight Edge no less............
The same way thatData and Picard did it in TNG. Who ever said that only Vulcans can do it?
I don't like them because they are batshit crazy............What's wrong with Midnight's Edge specifically? You don't like them because they do a youtube show?
1). Why did they send Sonneqa out in a jetpack suit to fly past the unknown object? In a radiation area, no less. (Which the Shezou's sensors detected easily) PROBES EXISTED IN THE ToS ERA. SEND THEM! DO NOT SEND YOUR 1ST OFFICER FOR NO REASON. Just stupid
2). How can a human do a Vulcan nerve pinch? She doesn't have the biology to do that. No amount of teaching from Sarek or Spock can give her that ability. Dumb
Because then we'd have had Measure of a Man 2.0, and they were in the middle of a space battle.Good point, they apparently had a robot crew member, why not send him?
Not sure if serious. This thread reminds me. I need to check out the guys over at Trekyards to see what they thought of the first two episodes. Those guys crank out a lot of quality videos and well-informed opinions and I can't wait to see their review video of the launch.
Their Trek sources are nutjob conspiracy theorists who claim, among many other things, that everyone on this board is paid by CBS to undermine what they consider to be "true" Star Trek (which, last I checked was Axanar)What did they do? I've seen most of their vids and they seem to have their heads screwed on well.
They were correct about the canon fuckery. I think some script/reshoot doctors may have come in later to clean the mess up. That explains why the show isn't a total failure.
Damn Eddie.........I HOPE that was sarcasm.I'll leave that to you to decide.![]()
True, it could have been T'Pol--that might have made more sense. My biggest cringe is: Sarek, why oh why does it have to be Sarek that raised the Main character? It reminds me of SW EPIII when you saw a YT-100 freighter sitting in the spaceport in one scene, and the Lucas had to say "Yep, that's the Millenium Falcon" like it couldn't be any one of 1000's of other identical ships of that type in the central HUB OF THE GALAXY, it HAD TO be the Falcon, even though it adds nothing to the story. Why not have her Vulcan "Father" be another Vulcan? I just don't understand why it HAD TO be Sarek, because of the can of storytelling worms it will open (that the writers might just shrug at), maybe we will get a good story from it, but Sarek already seems to be kinder to her then he ever was to Spock.
While I agree T'Pol would have been an ok adoptive parent, I think casual viewers know Sarek and Spock way more than T'Pol or any Enterprise crewmember. Hell it could have been ANY random Vulcan........so I assume there is a reason down the line somewhere.True, it could have been T'Pol--that might have made more sense.
