I learned that there are a LOT of neurotic, obsessive Star Trek fans.

A LOT more politically conservative Star Trek fans than I thought. They're are also a lot who are resistant to change, despite supposedly being forward-thinking.

That there are a LOT more reasons for watching Trek/SF here than I thought, because a lot of people's reasons don't seem to be like mine.

There are a lot of cute female ST fans here.
