Things we've learn from video games

The average person can easily carry a pistol, a knife, two large calibre weapons, several first aid kits, grenades, and hundreds of rounds of ammo with no problem at all.

the average quake 2 marine can carry 2 shotguns, a blaster, a machine gun, a chain gun, a rocket launcher, a rail gun, a BFG, a hyperblaster, a grenade launcher, a rebreather, an environment suit, ammo, weapon upgrades, data discs, a severed head, security keys, wear armour and still run around like an athlete.

Winning a one-on-one battle has nothing to do with strategy but rather is decided by how fast you can spam health/stamina/mana potions.

You can eat food you find laying around just about anywhere, even if it's been sitting on a table for days, or hidden in a tree stump, or laying in open grassland--food poisoning doesn't exist (unless someone deliberately poisoned it specifically to kill you.)

Evolution occurs instantaneously right before your eyes, but only after an animal has acquired enough experience points by battling other animals.

Unless they're Left 4 Dead vehicles. Then the engine won't even start until you're poured at least 30 gallons in the tank. :p

Vehicles can survive vast amounts of collisions, impacts, even driving off small cliffs and small explosions without stopping. Only to break down entirely after an arbitrary amount of hits.

Every single wild animal will attack you. Never run away or ignore you, but always attack you on sight.

Oh, I forgot.

Flashlight batteries are very weak and inefficient, and will usually only last for a couple of minutes.
