Things we've learn from video games

You can never be harmed as long as you're riding in a car, even if you roll it, flip it, slam into other cars, or run it off the top of a building.

You can wear skimpy clothing and leap over flames and flaming monsters and your clothes never get burned AND best of all your hair always looks perfect.

If you break somebody's neck, your next 4 pistol shots absolutely cannot fail. (Only 2 if you use a Beretta)

Punching ants is difficult, even if they're giant and right in your face.

Swords shoot laser beams if you're in peak physical condition.

Walking slowly with your hands clasped is sufficient disguise to fool any guard in the world.

Animals in the wild carry healing potions, magic herbs and unique holy two-handed swords.

If a squadmate gets gunned down, they'll always be back for the next mission.

And also money, for some strange reason.

Going on from that, most houses are not in fact houses at all, but just solid boxes, painted and shaped so that they appear to be houses. However, inspection of the door reveals the illusion.

Edit: Also, power does not accrue slowly as you work harder, but is rewarded in large sums all at once at arbitrary times. Lack of activity offers no penalty to physical well-being.

The longer you're alive, the stronger your enemies become.

[philosophical hat]

I find this to be weirdly true. You know, only it's seldomly "enemies" but rather life's obstacles. Most of the time. :shifty:

As for things I've learned: I'm not afraid of job interviews or oral examinations. There'll be a limited option of answers anyway and, if all else fails, I did a quick safe beforehand.

People don't really mind if you open their front door, look around their house and steal their stuff.
And amazingly enough, the stuff they leave lying around is actually useful which is, you know, totally contradictory to real life.

You mean this isn't true? :(

Minor gifts are all it takes to end a marital dispute, the guards will never chase you out of town and will only keep you out for the next few hours anyway.

You can be surrounded by lava, but as long as you don't touch it you're safe.

anyone can run around with 2 submachine guns or two automatic pistols and hit more than just the broad side of a barn, without having arms like a gorilla.
