things that would never happen on the Enterprise

Alyssa asks me to marry her. =)

And even more unlikely:

A red shirt doesn't die on an away mission!

McCoy is asked to perform a task beyond his normal duties...and his response is, "Great, I've always wanted to be a [bricklayer/engineer/moon shuttle conductor/insert variant here]!"

The Enterprise comes across a civilization that worships a computer or alien as a god, or one that holds a custom that seems particularly barbaric by Federation standards...and, citing the Prime Directive, Kirk refuses to get involved.

The Enterprise detects a cosmic phenomenon, like ripples in time or a winking out of the universe, that seems to be affecting everything for thousands of light years...and is nowhere near the origin point of the disturbance.

A redshirt whom we've never met before wanders off to investigate something on the planet of the week...to return with a report of a dangerous phenomenon that he successfully avoided.
That was the original script for The Apple, before a prop and special effects error necessitated an on the spot rewrite. :(
"Hey, Irving, did you know that these fake rocks explode?"
"Crap, there goes another extra. Ah, we got some some good footage--Just say that Vaal did it, no one will know the difference...."

Alyssa = :)

Shorter skirts for the female crew.

Kirk's Yeoman is not a hot female with a crush on him, haha

Kirk decides he crew can handle an away mission without him.

"Sir Klingons off the port bow"
"Status?"
"All systems operating 100%"
During the battle the Enterprise performs admirably and defeats the Klingon's, with little damage and all systems operating fine.
Kirk-Hey McCoy, you wanna drop by my quarters and listen to some 20th century music. I got some music sounds interesting: Pink FLoyd?, The Who?, The Rolling Stones? This music...sounds....INTERESTING.

Okay like others I was thinking of a toilet flush sound effect plus an "AW, JEEZ!" response from the can.

That was such a "breakthrough" with AITF in the states.

* The ship has more than enough speed and power to get the job done in the time allowed.

* An alien race is encountered, and they share our exact values and want to just be friends.

* Uhura is given real duties.

* Kirk decides that red, blue and orange is a pretty garish color scheme, and repaints the bridge.

Kirk hits on the new 'hot' alien .......... dude and gets a little action;)

A visiting dignitary makes no unreasonable demands on our crew and is well-liked by everyone.

The crew visits an outdoor location that bears no resemblance whatsoever to Vasquez Rocks or any other place in Southern California.

A seemingly harmless planet or alien turns out to be just that: completely harmless.

Chekov admits that some major human cultural achievement has nothing whatsoever to do with Russia.

An Admiral gives sensible orders that Kirk is happy to follow.
