Things that frustrate us all

and those who overtake you and then veer in, mere inches in front of you, even though the road ahead is completely empty.
30 years ago at driving school we got taught: you wait till you see the overtaken vehicle in the inner mirror and *then* you change back into their lane.

You're assuming anyone actually looks in their rearview mirrors these days.

How about drivers who pull out in front of you and you have to slam on the brakes to slow down and swerve to avoid hitting them; when if they had waited for you to pass would have had an empty road behind you to pull out onto.

The even more frustrating ones that pull out in front of you causing you to slow down and they turn off at the next junction 200 yards down the road, when as you say there was an empty road behind you.

Or people at lane merges who are three quarters behind you at the merge point and accelerate to squeeze in front of you at the last minute, forcing you to brake and drive on the rumble strips just to avoid hitting them.

One thing that bugs me with drivers while I'm out on my bike ride, is when they stop in the crosswalk, and just sit there the whole green light/walk sign. When they do that I either have to sit through the next whole cycle, cross anyways and try to squeeze around the car to get back on the sidewalk, or not cross and find an alternate route.

Better that than the ones who pull out in front of you in a big hurry to drive slower than you the whole rest of the way.

Just happened to me again the other day. Driver waiting at a red light doesn't signal left turn until after the light turns green, which means I'm stuck behind this vehicle because everyone else is in the other lane passing.

PAIN! My ulcer is shrinking and should be getting better. So why am I in so much pain from it??? I don't do well with pain and wish I were tougher. But when I am in pain I can't really think about or do anything else! I don't want to pain to (win) so to speak, I think I would settle for a draw. But what to do when I am hurting just so much? I try to rest and read or sleep or something like that. But when the pain is there it is there, you know? What to do besides taking pain meds to feel better/less pain?

Heard on NPR Market place business news this afternoon.

Over 4 million Americans missed a week or more of work due to Covid-19 in the month of June.

That's more employees than at any time during the height of the pandemic/lockdown.

It's still out there people!

I've not stopped wearing a mask just because some politican tells me it's ok not to. I'll make my own determination based on availble evidence when it is safe enough not to wear a mask (as well as other precautions)

When you forward an email to someone that's meant for them and they reply back to you, so you forward it to the correct person and then that person responds back to you instead of the person they were trying to reach.

An indoor flea market type place in my area specifically forbade masks once the health department lifted the mask requirement. I can kind of see what they're thinking, as it's located in a sketchy area and masks could make it harder to identify thieves or vandals or whatever. But I won't be stopping by there any time soon.
