So, I've been wearing a mask whenever I'm in a crowded place or indoors with other people, but not when I'm just walking or running around my own neighborhood, because it's very easy to distance there. I was out running and passed this old lady today, I took probably a 15-20 foot wide circle around her, and she still yells at me "WEAR A MASK!"
Obviously, she's one of those people who read those early articles about transmitting from joggers from before we learned what level contact you actually need to transmit, then never read any of the later articles that said the requirement for transmission was more like facing each other within six feet without a mask for 15 minutes. The way social media is scaring the overly anxious by selectively sharing the most frightening articles even if they've been later debunked is turning well meaning people into obnoxious sanctimonious asses.
I was never even within 15 feet of her.
