So I've just left the house and am driving to my appointment with the pulmonary specialist, when my heart starts HAMMERING in my chest. Like, I can FEEL it in my neck. And it seems off, like WHUD-WHUD-WHUD...WHUDWHUD...WHUD-WHUD-WHUD...WHUDWHUD.
SO I'm like "Shit, this isn't good. But at least I'm already driving to the hospital anyway, the pulmonary guy is literally one room over from the ER, and anyway I'm sure he can check me out."
And as I'm thinking this...
I DRIVE THROUGH A SCHOOL ZONE. I had panic-tunnel-vision or something, I never even saw the lights were on. And of COURSE there's a police car behind me. And of course he saw me doing 27 in a 15.
Double-shit. He pulls me over, blah-blah-blah, I even tell him I'm heading to the hospital, but not like it MATTERS if I'm having some kind of attack, NO. Now what's odd is, he didn't give me a ticket. He says I'm going to be mailed one. That's new. Still sucks.
Oh, and the specialist didn't find anything wrong with me. Pulse and pressure were "textbook" he said. If it happens again, contact my regular doc for an EKG, but the whole area's probably just extra-sensitive due to my chest cold.
Can I just... get the Time Lords to erase this week from existence, or something?
