Things that frustrate us all

Problem is, they did that during the election that got Dubya in. And that's in part how he got in. Third Party candidate votes took away and then the candidate that a lot of people didn't want to get in, got in.

That's one problem with voting third party. It would be nice if it worked, but sadly a lot of times it doesn't work.
Yup. Voting third party has become either an advantage or a disadvantage to one of the two big parties.

I had a rash of annoying assholes today. Some of them:

The numbnuts who drove 30 to 35 in the left lane in a 45 MPH zone (that's actually illegal in the state of Florida -- to go ten miles or more under the speed limit unless otherwise posted).

The other numbnuts who kept braking over and over again up to a fucking green light, down to 20 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.

More idiots in Wal-Mart who think it's a good idea to STOP in the entrance and exit door ways, like they're the only person in their stupid universe.

And wildlife was trying to annoy me. I walk by this squirrel and it ran at me, pounding hte ground loudly in the dead leaves, and stop and looked at me menacingly, like it would say, "You're nuts are mine, SOB."

Racism frustrates me.......

We are all of one human race yet that some see differences and such frustrates me.

We are currently watching a series called "A Place To Call Home" and it is set in Australia in the 1950s and well there's lots of prejudice in it..... Italians and Greeks get called rude names and apparently Jews are hated.....

Had no idea the 50s in Australia was like this.

Just found out the Post Office screwed up the delivery of one of the birthday presents my wife ordered for me.

According to the tracking number, it was delivered October 13... but it wasn't, because she was home at the time and received other packages that day, this was not among them. Then, FIVE DAYS LATER, it was listed as "returned to sender - moved, left no forwarding address" which is also bullshit because I've been here 11 years now. I know the sender had the correct address - they confirmed it in several emails.

I've sent an email of complaint to the USPS. This is far from the first time I've had trouble with my mail delivery, but this is the last straw. I want whoever is responsible. I will use them as a Halloween decoration / warning to others.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ouch!!!!!!!!!

I've had the occasional drama such as items taking a scenic tour of the countryside to get to my house when they only had to make a 1 day trip from interstate to get here. I have no idea how Victoria and Adelaide are connected via New South Wales but that's life I guess "shrug"

Today's gripe is how fudged my browser's performance on this site is. I've had to retype letters three times to make them show up. It's like the screen just LOCKS UP nd nothing I type appars or tters are cut out for no reason. Stupid university IE.

^that needn't necessarily be your university IE's fault. It might also be a matter of timing. The board is extremely slow around midnight PST which I presume is the time the daily backups are being made. Also, during the internet's version of the rush hour it's been increasingly difficult lately to get a decent connection anywhere.

today's anger: a subcontractor was hired to do some sampling and analyzing and hand in a detailed report. They sent the bill today but I'm still waiting for their report and its past the deadline. When I called them up to nudge them a bit about the report I got a very impolite reply.
I really take it personal when people get rude without provocation. I can tolerate a lot but bad manners are definitely not on that list. (Also, it's not wise to insult the one who pays you..)

Does this happen only on TrekBBS, or everywhere you go?

And have you tried using other browsers?

That browser thing happens to me too sometimes with this site. I think it might also be an issue with whatever scripting routine runs the board. Sometimes it's slow and things look like they are frozen but they are just happening really slowly, like hitting the "post reply" button and sometimes it can take 15 seconds to show that an item has been posted. So may not be your browser or connection. I get the missing letters too when typing. That's definitely frustrating.

I don't know what's going on here. I haven't had this problem when browsing this board (or any other site). I honestly don't know what might be causing it.

Cylist, came acrss one tonight when driving home. It's dark, no street lights and the idiot didn't have any lights, not even a reflector and was wearing dark clothes, he must have a death wish.

That feeling in the back of your throat where it's like "Is it just dry air, or is it allergies, or am I getting a cold?"

heehee, good idea. I lack a tank or monster truck but I could lay my hand on a bulldozer and a lowboy
Tomorrow I shan't have a parking prob: a colleague needs my car and I get his unimog. Enough horsepowers to tow away any vehicle in my way

I hope it's the first!

I'm just getting over a cold that seemed to be lasting forever, with a couple days made far worse by allergies.
