I prefer Twit. It accurately describes people who spend way too much time on a certain social media site. Maybe you can tell I am not one.

When I occasionally call my co-op maintenance office to get something repaired, they can't give me a specific time, so I ask them to please please please call me before they come. Half the time they still show up at my door unannounced. How difficult is it to call and say, "We'll be there in 15 minutes"? (To give credit where credit is due, half the time is waaaay better than it used to be.)
Verizon DSL guy parks down the block, where I can't see the truck, and he's not wearing a uniform. I ask to see his ID. Sure, he says pleasantly, but he'll have to go back to the truck to get it. Oy! Did he really expect a customer to let him into the house with no ID, no uniform, and no truck in sight?
Gee, if you're in such a rush why don't you skip the supermarket and buy groceries at a convenience store? Better yet, find a store that allows you to place your order online for delivery or pickup at the store entrance. As long as they aren't blocking the whole width of the aisle why does it bother you that they pause a bit to place or take a call? It only takes a couple of seconds to walk around them.Cellphones/iPhones are pissing me off more and more each year now. Today was just a good reminder. I'm getting tired of oblivious fudgeheads who think slowing down in a busy grocery store and not looking where you are going, is a good way to go about things, or especially worse: stopping in an isle to text. OMG, that must be one hell of an important text -- surely couldn't have waited until later. And then godawful songs for ringtones, which wouldn't be such a big deal if the user didn't treat it like a booming car speaker making sure everybody can hear what shit they like.
Makes me glad that even when I do happen to have cellphone service, I'm nice enough to leave it at the house. And I have texting disabled so I can't send or recieve. If you got something to say, talk to me, don't text me. Otherwise I do what I did to my sister once: texted to to tell her this text cost over $0.25.![]()

You're just going to end up waiting in line at the checkout. It's rare for the stores to have enough cashiers on duty. The mystery is that they install so many registers. Most groceries here have eight or ten lanes and seldom operate more than three at a time.
Better to completely cut the cord on that wired phone and take that cell phone with you. There's no money in the pay phone business any more, so if you break down or have a collision you might have a hard time finding a pay phone. If you don't want to be interrupted just turn the cell phone off and only turn it on to check your voice mail or place a call.

Self check outs are genius. The big supermarkets have basically tricked thousands of their customers into being unpaid employees for 10 minutes at a time.
Yes, it's momentarily annoying when people block store aisles (isles are harder to block, seeing as they're surrounded by water)
