Things that frustrate us all

I got a better idea: how about people don't stand there and block isle, especially a main isle...

Yeah, every so often I get a good idea that involves other people changing their behavior to make me happier.

I can only offer this: Good luck, and be sure to let me know how that turns out. ;)

Self check outs are genius. The big supermarkets have basically tricked thousands of their customers into being unpaid employees for 10 minutes at a time.

Self-checkouts are really desinged for those with only a few items, i.e like the express lanes which have a cap of around 20 items or less. You should easily be able to check out 20 items on a self-checkout in less than 5 mins.

And besides whilst some prefer to be checkout others prefer the speed that self-checkout can afford.
I gave up on self checkouts after one repeatedly subtracted a bag of frozen chicken off my total and reversed the conveyer to push it back to me at the scanner. I suppose the system was comparing the weight to a database and it wasn't matching the entry in the database. There's probably as much chance the database entry was wrong as there was that the weight of the package was wrong.

Bad drivers. I was talking with a coworker today about how it seems like more people want to cut you off when you're trying to merge onto the freeway. It's been happening more and more to me lately.

Helpnessness against bad news. There has been an airplane crash in France with about 150 people aboard (most of them from Germany and Spain). Unlikely that there are survivors......... :sigh:

Bad news. I remember a time when there was actually GOOD news, and every day no less!

People who park on sidewalks, or park the wrong way (facing into oncoming traffic.) Both are against city ordinance here, but no matter how long they sit there, no cop ever comes by and puts a ticket on them.

Isle have to agree with that one.

You mean you're not going to water down my opinion, MLB?

Yes, it's momentarily annoying when people block store aisles (isles are harder to block, seeing as they're surrounded by water ;) )

I was going to say, they have pretty impressive cellphone reception for such a tiny isle.

Isle have to agree with that one.

^ Don't you sea? I would never sandbar you like that.

The Sandbar is current ly run by a couple named Gale and Eddy.

Quiz: what do you call a really small jet
((((((eeeiiinnntt))))))), sorry, times up! a jetty :guffaw:

Medium vent: Gotta love programs. Dear Avast! has been trying to update the same time as my internet is starting up... so it slows it down. Then when I go to click on Google Chrome, it caused Windows Explorer to shut down and restart O_o. I've had it with computers!

I know my laptop is clean since I've run antivirus, malware and antispyware scans recently (separately) and they came up with nothing. And I did a check for any corruption and it came up with nothing either.

AVG and Avast have simply become nearly unusable now, for slowing everything down, interfering with any running program or breaking things far too often.

Yea. But I'd say that Avira goes one step worse :scream:. Damn program made it so the computer people who I take my computer to had to start from scratch. Ran into a Bad_Pool_Header due to that DEAR program. Never had a problem with Avast on it (a Windows 8 laptop). Same with 7, aside from it causing my wifi to come on slower.

That's not nearly as bad. But I will say this: I wish it wasn't so full of programs, some of which are PAY only. We should be able to parse out what we're not interested in installing.

I know, and the problem with some of them is that they're starting to favour 64-bit, or certain browsers, over one another. So anyone running even the same year/power of computer with the same RAM are having issues with the program prioritising things not the right way.

Or for some reason, the firewalls now being very lazily put together and stopping individual programs and processes indescriminately, needing manual declogging.

Very annoying. My AVG/Avast both seem to hate Facebook and if I try to run it any length of time, try to crash my entire laptop to stop it running.

I mean jeeze, certain...sites, nothing, Facebook? loses it's mind.
