. . . Also, why the fuck is the school psychologist coming ONE day every two weeks? It feels like you either hate your job OR the school doesn't care about the wellbeing of their students.

My daughter-in-law is a newly hired school psychologist (elementary level), and she was hired by the district and has to split her time between two very different schools. One is very supportive and helpful, the other fights every request she or her students make.

They have school psychologists nowadays?

Depending on where you live, perhaps the change to colder weather is a factor, if this is a consistent thing this time of year.

They had them 37 years ago. I got sent to one because of a story I wrote in English class.

My high school had three - one for each grade, 10th, 11th and 12th.
That would have been 86-89.

No psych at my Catholic school in the 80s. Which is too bad, coz I needed one.
