Things that frustrate us all

One thing that drives me crazy at the grocery stores is the big displays they put in the aisle now. Some of them have so many in them that you can barely get to the products you're after, and don't have enough to pass other shoppers.

They put them in the middle of the aisle? Woah. Glad my store never does that. If we tried an insane stunt like that, the ad would get knocked over in a minute.

Well not the exact middle, they're usually off to one side, but some of them are so big they take almost half of the aisle.
I can't stand most online shopping. I'll look at it, but I'm still so old school that holding it in my hand and finding it is still very appealing. I visit a grocery store at least once a week. Somethings I have to see in person, usually fruits and vegetables.
That's one of biggest issues with online shopping, I'm very picky about what I buy, not just food but everything. When I bought paperbacks regularly, I'd spend 5 minutes or more digging through the copies trying to find the most perfect one. There was a DS9 book I got over a decade ago, where the only copy they had had a whole bunch of round dots taken out of the cover, almost like some ran spikes or something over it, and to this day it still drives me nuts every time I see it.
Plus, you can check the dates of the products on the shelf yourself. It's amazing how often you find out of date stuff on the shelf... and how often I've had to point out said product to staff at a store. People don't rotate. That's not only a waste of food, but that's a health and safety hazard.

(It's a major pet peeve of mine. I have basically trained my wife to always check the dates of everything she gets before putting it in her cart. It took years before she finally saw what I was talking about, and I even remember the exact incident... we were at a Publix and getting some Toll House butterscotch and chocolate chips that were on sale for baking for a sleepover with our niece and nephews. I checked the dates... most of the bags were 8 MONTHS out of date! And it wasn't just the Toll House brand... many of the brands in that set were out of date, though 8 months was the furthest out I found. Needless to say, I showed the manager on duty there just how much of the set was out of date, and simply said, "You might want to consider rotating your product once in a while." I know I came off as condescending to him, mainly because my wife mentioned I did, but I didn't care because while I worked in that industry I always rotated my product... that's the proper way to work with groceries.)
When I worked in the crafts & celebrations department at Wal-Mart I took it upon myself to check all of our dated candy, and there were times where I didn't get a chance to do it for a while, and I'd end up having to pull close to half of it because it was out of date. I'm pretty sure I was the only person who ever checked it.

Depends on the pack for sure. Some are designed to be smaller (a freezer pack). The ones I can by stand alone at gas stations still the same size I remember.

I've got a nasty fungal infection that's plugging up my one good ear, and I can't see the doctor until Thursday.

The way portion sizes are stealth decreasing and recipe changes with obviously inferior ingredients.
And the worst part is that they tend to increase the price when they do that.
I bought Nestle Drumstick for the first time in ages and they're much smaller!
They also redesigned the medium bottles of Gatorade and I believe they took out a couple ounces. But since the bottle is shaped differently it's not obvious unless you actually compare the number of ounces on the new and old bottles.
I was reminded of one of biggest pet peeves the other day, when people get a pet, but have no idea how to take care of it or are unable to take of it for some reason. Getting a pet is not the kind of thing you can just randomly do on a whim, you need to do your research and prepare. You need to make sure you have the supplies and a vet, and it's a larger animal the trailer or whatever you need to transport it. You don't just bring home a dog, or a pig, or a horse, and then start to research how to take care of it, and getting supplies. This is an animal's life you are taking responsibility for, not just a cute toy you can occasionally take out of the box to play with.
One of the main reasons Great Danes get turned into to shelters is because they got to big. The one thing they're best known is their size, so how clueless do you to be to get one and not know it's going to get big?

Shrinking containers in a way that customers don't notice. It's a tactic that's more common than you think. For MANY years.

For example, when I was working at Nestle, they changed the ounces of the Haagen Dazs pints. They went from 16 ounces to 14 ounces, but looking at the container, you wouldn't notice the difference. Except... there is a little circular groove under the container, and what they did was move that upward a bit so it could fit less ice cream. Only by looking at the actual ounces would you discover it was less than a pint. And they had the nerve to charge a slighter higher amount for each 'pint'. (The company's justification was the 'new and improved packaging'.) This occured around 2006 or 2007. I never liked that practice, and I remember the meeting with the regional manager and the rest of us route guys... I noticed the change right off the bat. (I love ice cream, and had already been working in that realm for many years.) I pointed out to the regional manager that the change is not as clever as they thought due to how quickly I found it and customers might not take kindly to the higher cost with less ounces. He didn't like my observation.

And then there are people who get suckered into buying so-called "teacup" or "micro" pigs, thinking they'll stay small forever. They don't.
Oh yeah, this drives pig people nuts. A "mini" pig is any pig under 300lbs. The sad thing that breeders will starve the pigs, and then tell the people who they buy them to do the same thing, just to keep them smaller than normal.
There are at least two or three farm sanctuaries I know that were started because the founders got a mini pig and lived in a small house or apartment and then realized they needed more room for the quickly growing pig, so they bought a farm, which they then into a sanctuary.

I've been getting followed my middle-aged guys on Instagram for awhile now. They don't bother me or anything but it's not like I have a pic of a hot chick in a bikini on there "as" me and I put "married" on my profile. Weird and frustrating.

Do not underestimate loneliness. My wife got hit on in a group call by an Indian guy because she's white.

On the list of frustrations today are mechanical problems and people who suddenly realize that the big flashing sign telling you to move over because the lane is closed is serious.

You assumed people on the internet cared about boundaries? :vulcan::lol:
