Things that frustrate us all

I had knee replacements when I was in my fifties, which I understand is rather young for the procedure. They're not guaranteed much beyond 10 years, but mine are just fine after 16 and 15 years (I had them done a year apart, so as to have one leg healed when the other was in recovery).
Good to hear, as I had mine done at 53.

I had my blood drawn early last week for life insurance.

I was told the results would be available in four days.

The nurse was right, the results were available in four days, but as I found out today, not to me.

The insurance company has exclusive rights to my blood results for seven business days before I'm allowed to know what they are.

Yay for our corporate dystopia.

It’s amazing the nonsense people will believe.
Critical thinking skills are hard, and fear creates more susceptibility.

More frustrating is that these ideas are not able to be disproven in the general population but through individual interactions, and building relationship, trust and then providing facts. It feels very counterintuitive but much of these believes become a part of a person's identity, so telling them "You're believe is wrong" feels like a personal attack.

Having had discussion with a a 12 year client around "Siren head" and the difficulty in managing to not roll my eyes probably gave me a headache so I don't go to the conspiracy theory discussion often.

Aside from Sasquatch.

Seriously?! A company has exclusive access to your medical data before you do?!

I should be surprised, but I'm not. Insurance companies are really scummy.

Facts change over time. Science isn’t static. And fortune tellers still make a living. Not surprised.

When games force you to play out a story with certain agendas/characters/choices attached that make you cringe.

I've been playing Suzerain recently.

That's insane, I can't believe they can do that with your medical information.

Oh, a *12 year old*. That makes more sense. Rough age.
It is. And it starts somewhere. People act shocked that conspiracy theories perpetuate amongst adults but then there is the simply dismissal of them in adolescents who then grab on to it without any guidance as to how to analyze the data. They just know it gives them an emotional comfort and that's sufficient.

I can't find my Huy Fong Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce! There had been a shortage earlier in the year, but it's really having an impact now. Poor pepper crop in Mexican has decimated their primary ingredient. Having to find alternatives.
