Things that frustrate us all

Lots of states have interstate highways that never cross the borders into any other state. The name simply indicates that the construction and care for the road is federally funded rather than a state or local road.
There are also interstate highways in Alaska and Puerto Rico as well. Most of the interstate highways that don't cross into other states are regarded as auxiliary routes and are designated with 3 digits.
The states actually own and are responsible for the interstate highways with funding primarily coming from federal, state, and local user fees.

Hawaii too, from what I hear. That was probably mentioned up above somewhere, but I'm feeling too lazy to check.

Thousands of people don't go missing after coming home without their girlfriend, driving her van, using her credit/debit card, and she later is found dead of strangulation.
I think it is because she evoked Laura Palmer from TWIN PEAKS.

The missing seismologist Daniel Robinson was said to have been behaving erratically.

Makes me wonder if he found something he shouldn’t have.

Gold? Cthonians? Who knows.

A hemorrhage like what did for Grant Imahara, most likely.

I saw a MYTHBUSTER episode where he was frozen and slapped for a test…and had to turn it off. That may have worsened what could have killed him later in life.

Anti-vaxxer and Obamagater Kristy Swanson is in the hospital with COVID-related symptoms. But I suspect rather than changing her tune about COVID, she'll double-down and say it's nothing when she's free and clear.

How about the variable pricing on Amazon... I had my eye on a TV season set on blu-ray which was originally $80 but was on sale for $24. I needed to wait until payday because of other expenses. But then the price jumped up to $45. :scream:

I run into that a lot with e-books. There are constantly e-books going on and off sale, and I'll find one I want to read marked from $10 - $30 to $0.99 to $2.99, but I tend to hesitate since I've already got a ton of unread ebooks, and by the time I decide to just get it, the sale is over and it's back to the full price.

Having to change up or skip certain aspects of my work-out because so many people in the gym want to sit on their non-swole asses swiping and texting rather then actually use the machine they are occupying for ten minutes or more. You're wasting your money not trying to improve yourself and your health and wasting my time .

I swear if I ever hit the lottery that I don't play I would open my own gym and build it inside a giant Faraday cage to let people know it's a serious place to work-out; not to catch up on your Fakebook and Ticky Tock likes. Can't listen to your Justin Beiber tunes? Not my problem...go buy an MP3 player. Can't log your reps? Go buy a notebook and pen. Either that or the phone stays in the locker.

And while you're at it, put your damn weights back as I don't work there and am not getting paid to search all over for what I need.

The post office finally delivered my missing package. Turns out the sticker with my name and address was partially torn off and extremely faded. Even the USPS tracking was too faded to use. I wonder if it was maybe weather damage or of the sticker came out bad to begin with and they just stuck it on there anyway.

I wonder if giving them the UPS tracking number helped them to find it, since that was on a different sticker.

I don't remember if I posted this at the time, but it's really being a pain right now so if I did I'm about to again. Several months ago the place I work replaced the systems we use with new systems...that suck. The main one is slow, freezing garbage.

When people in your circle of friends and family are buying into these whacko conspiracy theories.

Kor

You mean you don't believe that the DEMONcrats teach Satanic cannibalism in our schools and that vaccines make you magnetic !? ;)

I must be one lucky duck, because I don't have a single friend or family member who believes in any of that whacko stuff. Well, one cousin, but only as far as he thinks he sees John F. Kennedy every year on his fishing trip to Minnesota, and after a while you start to like the stories...

I almost got hit by 3 different cars in a 5 second period yesterday. I was driving straight through on a 45mph road toward an intersection. Unbeknownst to me, a car in the left turn lane was stalled.
The large suv behind them decided to get into my lane to go around and made me slam on my brakes. I laid on my horn with no effect. Hearing all this another moron did the same thing right after I started back up and had to brake again. The car behind me had to slam on their brakes to keep from hitting me.
I guess all that time playing Twisted Metal and Grand Theft Auto paid off.
