So I have a Gmail account that I use very infrequently. I tried to access it recently. I know the password is correct, because if I deliberately enter an incorrect one, I get the "incorrect password" message. However, since I am apparently accessing it on a new device, Google, in its infinite wisdom, is blocking me from accessing it.
They are giving me the option to send a code to my recovery email to unblock it. So I do that, only to discover that the provider for that account, which I only use as a recovery email, has suspended my account due to lack of use. They are, of course, happy to reinstate it, by sending a code to its recovery email... which in
my infinite wisdom, I set up as the Gmail account that Google is blocking me from even though I have all the credentials right!
