The conspiracy aliens are a must... and they would fit into Lower Decks really well.

They should save that one for when the series does it's final episode ...

... and then make it another cliffhanger.

Conspiracy aliens would be fun, and it would let Mariner revisit her conspiracy board.

Tribbles! DS9 brought them back to the 24th Century, maybe they've escaped onto a Fed colony and the Cerritos crew get the crappy job of dealing with the infestation?

First Federation. I wanna see those big glowy sphere ships again and have the crew get wasted on Tranya with a little Clint Howard-type fella.

The Catspaw aliens. They were hinted at being "incompatible with our reality" sans their tech, so there's a Lovecraftian element there. Could be good for a creepy Halloween ep.

I'm amazed Klingons didn't more dress up like Darvin and quietly plant anesthetized tribbles everywhere... once they wake up they'd be bouncing all over the place and not shieking at any Klingons nearby, where they'd be promptly used as objects of target practice, skeet shooting, and so on...

Yeah, we never really saw the effects of Tranya - one little sip wouldn't do anything at all...

If Lower Decks could make the Pakleds formidable and then some, they can easily make the Catspaw critters more compelling.

I'd like to see some more conspiracy theories like the Federation modified Tribbles as a weapon or that there was a mushroom powered ship that could achieve faster than transwarp.

I'm gonna say it: James T. Kirk.

I'd love a LDS/TAS time travel or Holodeck adventure.

Exactly. I'd love to see it too and I think Shatner would be up for it if it was well-enough written.

It's animation, so they can draw him from any era. Sure - why the hell not?

You know, Lower Decks is maybe the best possible use of Shatner. He doesn’t look like Kirk any more and at his age it could be dangerous to try. But he could voice Kirk, to comedic (and dare we hope dramatic) perfection on this show. As a hologram, his last self, an apparition in the Nexus, or something else. I’d prefer he not play his TOS self, as he doesn’t sound 40 any more, but an older one could be fantastic, utterly fantastic. If Kirk is to return to Star Trek, this might be the best way. …while Shatner, himself, can (no doubt some CG version will pop up one day too).

Didn't they pop up in a novel or Star Trek Online?

I vaguely remember something in the novelverse but not really. Anyone else?

Canon could do anything with it. Lower Decks could include a hilarious moment with it popping up out of nowhere vs. our heroes in a shuttlepod or something.

A good twist might be that after conspiracy aliens got beat, they had to resort to taking over the pakleds, which is why the pakleds have suddenly become aggressive.

The way they took over the ship, might as well been.

Sure, but it wasn't deliberate. Doubt that would comfort the Klingons.

They didn't "go" anywhere, they were all killed.
